The original cathedral, the Church of the Triumph, was constructed in 1539 on the site of the palace of Viracocha Inca. Today, it serves as an auxiliary chapel to the main Cathedral.

The Coricancha, known in Quechua as Quri Kancha or ‘golden temple,’ served as a significant political and religious temple for the Incas.

Sacsayhuaman, a fortress where the Incas conducted sun worship and religious ceremonies, is believed to have hosted tens of thousands of people during special festivals, who participated in offerings and pilgrimages.

The tour concludes with visits to the iconic sites of Qenqo, PucaPucara, and Tambomachay.
