Great food experience and nice tour of Lima to places off the usual tourist track. - Our guide, Alvaro, took us to a number of interesting sites that we were not expecting. We started of at a vibrant marketplace where we sampled some delicious ceviche and causal. Then Alvaro agreed to take us jewellery shopping, acting as a translator with the vendors. After that we drove across town (great driving by Jimmy) to a fish market in Chorillos. Here we got to watch the fishermen bringing in their catch, and the process that they go through after the weigh in. We got to spend some time at the pier, which was so refreshing. Then we drove to the Blanco Christo statue, which was a challenging drive up a steep hillside, but well worth the view once there. Finally we tried picarones in Barranco, which were slightly sweet, crunchy, and extremely delicious.

Take the tour!!! - William was our guide and Johnny was our driver. They were both spectacular. We had 4 in our group and were treated very well . From the Fish market to the Mercado to the restaurant over the sea we learned so much and ate so well. Peruvian cuisine is excellent!! The views were amazing also. Additionally, you need to know that William is VERY knowledgeable about the history and culture of Peru as well as other countries. He was a joy! take his tour!

The most delicious tour! - My friend and I had a great time with our guide Laidy (I'm sure I spelled this wrong, please forgive me), as we journeyed though the markets. We were given the opportunity to try many different fruits and later on, some of the local dishes. After trying the fruits, we were full LOL! It had so many, all being absolutely delicious. It was pleasantly surprising to me that mostly all of the fruits and vegetables found in the local markets are grown in Peru. Laidy was brilliant and she had patience in trying to understand all the questions this non Spanish-speaking traveler had. Our last treat took us to the El Gato Park, where we had a delicious desert dipped in honey. We enjoyed every bit of it but not before being chased by bees wanting to soak up all the honey for themselves LOL!! That was quite an experience. All in all, this tour was worth it! If you are going to Lima, be sure that this is the first tour you do, trust me, it would save you from spending your coins in all the wrong places where food is concerned. Laidy also gives great information on where to go based on what your interests are so make sure to ask for her specifically. Have an amazing trip, I did :)

Great experience in Lima! - Lucas was an excellent guide as we visited three markets and ate some local specialities. But the tour is more than food, it is an introduction to history, culture and the beautiful town of Lima. Seeing the fishing pier was a highlight, since it was local and non touristy. Brought home some extra ceviche, best we have ever had. Oh, almost forgot the Amazonian fruits we tried…so glad for the experience and thank you Lucas!!

Great Tour! - We had a fantastic tour with Willian! We walked around the main areas of Barranco and tried a variety of popular Peruvian dishes ranging from juice, fruit, seafood, ham, liquor, and steak! There was a lot of discussion about the historical aspects of Barranco and Peru as well. Highly recommended!

William is an awesome guide! - We did a good tour with Willian who took us to 2 different food markets and the fishing pier in Lima. The experience was personal and authentically local, which is exactly what we wanted- slightly off the beaten path, fun, and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to book with him again

Wonderful tour, delicious food and a great introduction to Lima - We were picked up on time by a guide from this well-organized tour company. We were toured the market, were introduced to stall holders and various foods were explained to us. The first stop was a local restaurant where a nice lady prepared a delicious Ceviche which is the Peruvian national dish. It was the best Ceviche we've ever eaten. Then, we went to a fruit stall and tasted some native Peruvian fruits. And at the end we tasted amazonian food. Just amazing! We highly recommend this for anyone who love food.

great guide, tour itself needs a bit of finessing - Sophia was an incredible guide. She was so enthusiastic and detailed during our tour, she kept the car rides between locations interesting by sharing photos and stories of Peru. she was kind and accommodating and super knowledgeable. would recommend her to anyone looking to learn and explore the area. we would have never stumbled into these places on our own, we especially loved the fish market on the pier. having a driver made this very relaxing and the pick up/drop off was also a great luxury a few recommendations for improvement for the tour itself and organization: - some of the dishes were not the best to share amongst each other (ex: 1 chicken drumstick) I would suggest smaller meals/bites that could be eaten individually or divided up better. - on food tours i’ve been on in other countries, usually the guides and vendors have a relationship, which enhances the experience. in one of the markets, we kind of just stood in a busy corner and ate fruit without any interaction with the vendors. the description also mentions eating ceviche from a local woman who’s been making it for years, we did have fantastic ceviche but there was no iconic woman or story about the shop we went to. - including a list of the foods we ate/restaurants visited at the end of the tour. everything was so cool, but I can not remember any of the names let alone the spelling. - lastly, providing some sort of signage for the guide when meeting up at the hotel. it was not a significant issue, but we didn’t know whether we’d be meeting our guide inside the hotel, outside, etc. and she didn’t have any sort of identification so we ended up kind of standing waiting next to her for like 10 min, not realizing she was our tour guide and her not knowing we were her guests
