- Muelle de Ancon - You will get to our office in Ancon District, a fisher´s town near the desert, where your instructor will make sure you get your right equipment for the fun times.
- Zona Reservada Lomas de Ancón - We will get on the panamerican highway and go to the desert passing for a unique ecosistem and habitad of Lima´s coast, “the lomas” a green garden on the winters and dry land n the summer” from there we will cross to the desert
- Zona Reservada Lomas de Ancón - We will get to the desert and start our sandy lesson, the instructor will teach you anything you need from equipment, stance, how to break, and will train you in a bunny heel. After that you will be ready to roll down the dunes until the truck that will lift us back up again, At a point we will head to a big soft dune to discover Lima´s hidden desert views
- Lima - After our picture session, follow up camera while riding, views of the desert scenery, we will return to the office in Ancon and from there to Lima

Even if you’ve not done this before, there’s no need to fret! Your knowledgeable instructors are here to guide you from the start. You will get to experience the last untouched desert in Lima at Lomas de Ancon. This activity is appropriate for all skill levels.

Great Time on the Dunes - Aldo was very professional AND skilled. Had a great time getting out on the dunes with my friend. The whole crew that helped us was amazing as well, thank you to Luis and everyone else!
Felt lucky to be able to go around sunset when it was not too hot as well!

We had the Dunes to ourselves! - This was one of the highlights of our 2.5 week trip all over Peru! I almost booked in Huacachina however it didn’t work out with our schedule and I am SO GLAD it didn’t! Not only did we have a private lesson and the gorgeous dunes of Ancon all to ourselves (which was incredible), but we ran into other travelers who said the Huacachina dunes were over crowded. This location was magical, close to Lima, and our instructor, Aldo, was fantastic. He was super patient with us, had a great sense of humor, and took so many amazing videos and photos (which was another amazing perk!). Our driver, Carlos, was also amazing and was super competent with how to navigate the dunes. Aldo has a lot of pride for his beautiful country and also does a lot for the youth in his community, which was great to hear about.
An 11/10 experience all around.

The best way to engage with the desert landscape - We had half a day with Aldo and Eddie on the dunes north of Lima. The experience was just extraordinary. Aldo taught us (a family of four with two boys 13 and 10) how to sand board. We’ve never done any snowboarding or surfing or anything like this before, Aldo was very patient and you can tell he has a lot of experience working with kids. His passion for the sport is also contagious. The dunes were beautiful, especially during the hours near sunset. And we had it all to ourselves. When our SUV drove off the road into the dunes it really felt like an adventure. In the end we could somewhat make our way down the halfpipe, a large sand structure deep in the wilderness.
Our flight into Lima was delayed and so our experience was cut short. We didn’t have time lunch and had to go straight to this activity after getting off our flight. Aldo got us sandwiches so that we could have energy. We really appreciated that.

Amazing. - Amazing guide and incredible experience. Picked me up at the airport and there was a couple along with myself that rode in the back row of the SUV. Gave great instructions. Be prepared to fall and get slightly injured. I was going too fast when I basically ate it and rolled over. Was sore for a few days but definitely worth it.

Fantastic - We had never sand nor snow boarded before. Aldo was a patient and professional teacher. We learnt a lot and had fun! Carlos sand dune driving was extraordinary but we felt safe!

More than an experience, a life changinging adventure. - I came to Lima last on my trip, and initially, I felt like I should have put more days in Cusco. Alonso, Sebastian, and Rolando changed my mind. I had such a fantastic time. Alonso and Sebastian picked me up promptly at my hotel, where we then traveled to pick up my instructor Rolando. Everyone was super friendly and were joking and laughing the whole way to the sandboarding experience.
Alonso is an excellent driver who knows the dunes well. If you have never been off roading before, do not worry. You are in good hands. Alonso is very experienced.
Once out in the dunes, Rolando helped familiarize me with the equipment and assessed my experience level. He was very patient and explained everything I would need to know as a complete newbie. He very quickly had me up and practicing on some small dunes, encouraging me the whole way. By the end, he successfully had me board down a 100m dune! At all times, he made sure I was comfortable with whatever dune we were about to ride.
The ride back was just as fun as the ride out, and we even went through the flavellas as a kind of bonus tour. 12/10, 100% recommend

Exceptional, spectacular and fantastic - It was a very great adventure. I saw a lot of things, I learned to sandboard and I had a lot of fun.
Everything was very well organized and the team is very friendly, helpful and professional. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience.

WOW - WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Everything about this excursion was excellent from the beginning to end. The driver picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off. The instructor was super sweet and made us feel confident (although we had never done this) he instructed us so well that we thought we were pros at the end. 10/10 recommend!

No room for 1 more person - Was unable to complete excursion as the tour operator could not accommodate me! Excursion was arranged through Viator live agent but there was no availability day of activity. It was very late when I booked it and that was most likely the main factor
