- Pachacamac - PACHACAMAC ARCHAEOLOGICAL CENTER
Continuing with our tour, we will visit the Aclawasi “Temple of the Virgins of the Sun”, a sacred site where women selected for their manual, culinary skills or physical beauty lived and worked, and who were at the service of the Inca empire. The Aclawasi of Pachacamac was one of the largest and most important on the coast.
Likewise, we will appreciate the different buildings that are part of this impressive place, buildings from cultures such as Lima, Wari, Ichma and Quechua, which left testimony of their ingenuity and ability to survive in a territory as adverse as the coastal desert.
- Pachacamac - As soon as we visit the sacred precincts in the lower part of the sanctuary, we will head down an elevated ramp that will take us to the “Temple of the Sun”, the jewel of Pachacamac.
Finally we will border “The Temple of the Sun” or “Punchao kancha”, built of adobes and considered probably the largest temple on the entire coast, representing a great organizational effort for its construction.
- Lima - PACHACAMAC – MIRAFLORES (45 minutes)
Finally, we will return to the lower part to board our vehicle and return to your hotels or meeting points.

We’re set to explore a highly significant ceremonial site on the South Coast of Lima, the Pachacamac Sanctuary, recognized as the chief Pilgrimage Center during the Inca period. Known as the Earthquake God, numerous offerings were unearthed at this temple where we’d uncover archaeological remnants from the pre-Inca and Inca periods. Nestled amidst the desert and against the sea, this cluster of structures hosts temples like Acllahuasi, the Ancient Temple, and the Sun Temple, offering insights into pre-Hispanic architecture.
