Lucky to have a sincere guide who tries his best - The Paracas National Reserve is totally underrated and well worth a visit. Many people gave it a miss, choosing instead to head to Huacachina. As a result, my friends and I had the whole bus to ourselves. Our guide, Angel, tried his best to tell us all about Paracas and Peru. Although English is not his native language, we could feel his sincerity in conveying as much as he can, which is something you don't often get especially if the tour group is big. Angel gave us ample time to explore the sights, unlike other touch-and-go tours. My friends and I enjoyed it and hope that Angel can have opportunities to lead more groups in future.

Take it from the best days of your life. - Everything amazing from logistics to our super guide Sandra and our driver bused. The beautiful crossbow islands with all their fauna; penguins, sea lions, starfish etc. Buggies the best way to know a desert thanks to our driver Augustus the most.

Great Daytrip - What a great day trip! Our guide was first rate, so cheerful and full of advice and suggestions that made the trip fun. Ballestras Island was amazing, full of sea lions and penguins ( who knew there were penguins in Peru?) and exotic birds like boobies. The second half of the day, the dune buggy ride and sandboarding was a big hit with my granddaughter, too.

Un dia increible - Huacachina Ballestas y mas - This was a great full day of adventure with a pretty fun group. I traveled solo to Lima and this eas great to have a nice day full of cool experiences. Started with sightseeing at Ballestas and then continued to Huacachina were adventures picked up and wow what an amazing day!!! Our guide Chris kept us organized and in time so we could maximize every activity. We also had down time to soak it all in and take pictures. To be home I was the only solo travel in a group of 37 people but we all had a blast. The group had families and couples and friends! 18 hours later we became friends!

Great day trip alternative to Huacachina! - We did the full day trip including Islas Ballestas, Paracas National reserve and Hacienda San Jose.
Islas Ballestas were amazing! We saw penguins, sea lions, starfish and loads of different birds. Debra was a great tour guide running us through the programme in the morning and explaining our bespoke tour. Warning: this tour is effectively two halfs of other tours combined which is fine as a couple but would not have been ideal as a solo traveller.
We had 2 hours in Paracas to eat lunch but had enough time to go to the beach! Would have brought out swimming outfits if we’d known we had that much time spare!
Then we met our new tour guide Lorenzo who took us to the Paracas National Reserve which is an amazing landscape and good opportunity for photos with a couple of viewpoints. The stops were brief (20 mins x2) but long enough to enjoy the scenery.
Then we went to Hacienda San Jose to see the slave tunnels. Lorenzo was very good at explaining the history behind the tunnels. We were only underground for 10 to 15 minutes so don’t be put off by the dark!
Overall this is an excellent alternative option if you are not bothered about going to Huacachina but want to see any of the above.

Awesome Tour. - I enjoyed the tour arranged by Chris. Its good to see animals in their natural habital. Knowledgeable with different areas and able to coordinate different activities. He gave us tips around the area.
