• Miraflores - Start your day with an early pickup from your hotel in Miraflores, San Isidro, or Barranco. • Islas Ballestas - From 10:00 to 12:00, embark on a fast, comfortable boat for a 2-hour wildlife cruise. Glide past towering rock arches and the enigmatic Candelabra geoglyph while keeping an eye out for sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and a vibrant array of seabirds. With some luck, you might even spot playful dolphins. Skippers maintain a respectful distance to allow you to observe natural behaviors (wildlife sightings vary with the seasons).
• Paracas - From 12:00 to 14:00, enjoy leisure time along the Paracas boardwalk. Wander around the marina, explore local craft stalls, or savor fresh ceviche or grilled catch of the day with an ocean view (lunch at your own expense). Your host can recommend excellent local spots.
• Paracas National Reserve - Participate in a guided bus tour through one of South America’s largest protected desert reserves. Capture photos of red-sand cliffs, wind-sculpted headlands, and expansive Pacific vistas where dunes meet turquoise waters. Short walks to viewpoints offer breathtaking panoramas.
• Hacienda San José - Head north to a historic hacienda to explore its underground tunnels, once used during the slave-trading era. Your guide will provide context and stories that bring this challenging history to life. Some passages are narrow with low ceilings; guests should be comfortable in enclosed spaces.
• Lima - Unwind on the return drive to Lima, with direct drop-off at your hotel in Miraflores, San Isidro, or Barranco. Typical arrival is around 11:00 PM (traffic and sea conditions may affect timing; Downtown/Airport drop-offs might be slightly later).
