Highlights
- Museo Larco - Considered one of the 25 best museums in the world, It is located at a magnificently adapted and restored 18th century mansion in Lima. Its awesome collection covers 5,000 years of the ancient Peruvian history, with 45,000 archaeological objects including jewelry (gold, silver, cooper and precious stones), pottery, metals, textiles, etc.
LUNCH: at midday there will be a break of 1 hour 30 minutes so you can have lunch. We will recommend you some good local restaurants.
- Plaza San Martin - In the second part of the tour, we visit this Plaza made in 19 hundred to commemorate 100 years of Peruvian independence. The surrounding buildings are great, displaying Neoclassic style.
- Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor) - Then, we will go to the Main square, the most representative one in Peru where you will see impressive buildings such as “The Presidential Palace”, “The City Hall of Lima”, “The Cathedral” and The Archbishop’s Palace”, etc.
- Museo Convento San Francisco y Catacumbas - Finally, we will take you to the most interesting museum in downtown Lima. Your expert guide will explain you here about the rich history of Peru’s capital. Explore the underground Catacombs!

A complete and pleasant experience - The museum is a complete and unforgettable experience, from the gardens, the collection of pre-Columbian pieces, to the erotic art. Don't forget to enjoy the restaurant!

A must in Lima! - We couldn’t leave Peru without seeing the best of Lima.
The Larco Museum was without a doubt one of my favorite places to visit in Lima. What a beautiful museum full of history, culture and traditions. Our guide Felipe was very knowledgeable about all the pieces that are in the museum. It was so interesting to learn from him about all the different pre-Columbian civilizations in Peru and their legacy. After our tour, we stayed at the restaurant’s museum having a great time in that beautiful place.
During the day, we also visited the Historical center of Lima and had time to learn about the colonial Peru in San Martin Square, Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral. Susan our tour guide, explained to us how Peru got its independence from Spain and about the catacombs found in the Cathedral, very interesting! She also took us to Barranco, a bohemian neighborhood in Lima with some of its streets full of artistic graffiti images.
At the end of the day, Ernesto the driver of a very comfortable and clean SUV, took us to the airport to take our flight back home safe and sound.
