• Casa de Aliaga - Nestled in the heart of Lima’s Historic Center, Casa Aliaga is a remarkable architectural gem that has been part of the city’s history since 1535, the year it was established. This splendid mansion was owned by the conquistador Jerónimo de Aliaga y Ramírez, a companion of Francisco Pizarro, and has been home to 18 generations of his family, making it the oldest continuously inhabited private residence in the Americas.

Throughout the centuries, the mansion has been rebuilt and remodeled, evolving with the architectural styles of each period while maintaining its colonial charm. Today, it stands as a testament to Peru’s rich heritage, with its graceful halls, stunning courtyards, and captivating stories that transport visitors back in time.

• Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor) - The tour begins at the historic Plaza Mayor, “The Main Square of Lima,” a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located in the heart of the Historic Centre, it was founded by Francisco Pizarro in 1535 and is surrounded by beautiful architecture and charming balconies. The impressive main cathedral, the government palace, the archbishop’s palace, the town hall, and the Sagrario church are all located here. In the center of this plaza, there is a beautiful colonial water fountain from the 17th century. Here, fascinating anecdotes about the significance of these places in Peru’s history will be shared.
• Casa del Oidor - Little is known about this house situated at the northeast corner of the Plaza Mayor. It dates back to the late 17th century and is named “Casa del Oidor” (oidor means in Spanish something akin to magistrate or “the one who hears/listens to the complaints of people and dispenses justice”).

Adjacent to this house is a handicraft market where visitors can enjoy, learn about, and taste the Pisco sour, the national drink of Peru.
