Fun food and friends - There was a little bit of everything on this tour. From history and architecture to culture and cuisine, our tour guide Manuel expertly navigated the city with knowledgeable insights around every turn. Manuel was very well connected with the local vendors and restaurants, and it felt like we were being shown around town by a close family member/ local celebrity. If you're looking for an intimate and authentic experience of Lima, this is the best place to start.

Delicious, Educational and FUN!!’ - Marcos introduced us to local culinary delights of Lima. Multigenerational and family owned operations were featured. We started with a Chilcano and Papa huancaina ( I hope my spelling is correct). Then a tamale made with yellow peppers that was smooth and creamy. A tour of the market with a taste of many local fruits that were tantalizing. I think my personal favorite was the food cart of grilled beef parts with potatoes. We continued with a tender, juicy pork sandwich. On to dessert. As a person who passionately dislikes fried dough, my mind was changed by the churros in Lima filled with warm caramel! Unbelievably delicious!!! We finished the tour with Picarones, freshly made and hot. So many delicious things to experience! A special thanks to Marcos who explained the history of the architecture and why Lima is a UNESCO preserved site. He was knowledgeable and friendly and fun and made the whole experience delightful! I would definitely recommend this tour and Marcos!

A unique experience with a lot of heart - A unique, incredibly great experience! We did the street food tour in the old town center of Lima. Our guide Marcos was so warm that we immediately had a great atmosphere. He took us to places with authentic Peruvian food. Every place and dish had its own story and was really delicious. But not only that; Marcos took us through the wonderful old town and told us a lot about the history of the old and also new buildings and the people and their ideas behind them. With Marcos throughout, we got a very good overview of the variety of Peruvian cuisine with all its international influences. We will do this way of getting to know a city more often now.... At this point a big thank you to Marcos, because through him this experience became perfect.
