Delightful Tour - Our guide Ariel and our driver Marvin were definitely a dynamic duo. They were a very professional and knowledgeable team. I learned so much and experienced a great many opportunities to understand Costa Rican culture. The tour surpassed all that was promised. We were very impressed with Ariel’s ability to deflate a potentially contentious encounter with a disgruntled New York couple who chose to delay their departure with the rest of the tour and expected all to wait for them. Ariel handled the uncomfortable encounter and proceeded with the tour flawlessly for the rest of us. Excellent interpersonal skills. An excellent representative for your country.

Great for all ages - Animals were everywhere … monkeys, sloths, snakes, toucans, raccoons, etc. The plantation had a great representation of banana and chocolate farming. Our tour guid, Ariel, and bus driver, Martin, were so enthusiastic about Costa Rica- you could feel the culture. As my 12 year old son said, you were able to experience Costa Rica with all your senses. We had many generations with us (kids to seniors) and everyone enjoyed it. Group was small enough to get to know one another.

A good tour guide = wonderful excursion! - We opted to take a tour offered by one of the private vendors approved by our national travel company. It did not disappoint. Our guide, Alberto, with Greenview Tour Company arranged through Shore Trips was excellent. We’ve had some very bad tour guides, but Alberto is one of the very best - if not the best! He was personable and caring. He was tremendously knowledgeable about his country and everything in it. He worked very hard to be there for everyone in the tour group of 10. He also had a great sense of humor which is always a delightful plus. The driver was also kind and helpful.

An amazing introduction to Costa Rica - I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone who wants to see a lot of what Costa Rica has to offer in a little time. The tour was mildly active and well-paced but not at all strenuous. Our family’s tour began with a scenic drive in Eric’s air-conditioned van through the Limon countryside to the Tortuguero canal, where we saw loads of wildlife on our hour-long cruise, including spider monkeys, howler monkeys, iguanas, a toucan, oropendula, and more. Our guide Renato was very knowledgeable about spotting and describing the abundant wildlife. Thereafter, we stopped by a banana plantation and observed part of the process of raising the crops. We arrived shortly thereafter in Cahuita National Park, where we took a walk through the jungle adjacent to the beach to observe sloths, a raccoon, a boa, medicinal plant life, and more. Although there were a lot of people visiting Cahuita, I really liked it and thought it would be fun to return to stay there for a week in the future. Our last stop was at a roadside souvenir shop, where I sampled and bought the amazing Costa Rican coffee. Aside from the attractions, my family truly enjoyed riding around Costa Rica through towns and countrysides, listening to Renato’s stories about life in Limon. The tour felt very intimate, which will make us remember it forever. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to experience Costa Rica.
