Cahuita National Park - Cahuita National Park is a terrestrial and marine national park in the Caribbean La Amistad Conservation Area of Costa Rica located on the southern Caribbean coast in Limón Province, connected to the town of Cahuita. Cahuita National Park is unique in Costa Rica for its close relationship with the community, an example of shared management between the community and government for a sustainable development at community level. Participation of park guards and community life stands out through a shared governance management.
In this ecosystem, nestled in the Caribbean but with forest environment, you will find species such as raccoons, sloths, iguanas and basilisks. You will also notice snakes like tinsel and tamagá, and birds like the black hawk. Inside the park it is possible to perform recreational sports and hiking the trails, or simply enjoy the beaches swimming or sunbathing.

This tour is the perfect combination between nature and relaxation. The tour start at the main entrance of the pier, with a private and exclusive transportation for you and your family. In this tour, you will be able to visit Puerto Limon’s main attractions. You will visit Cahuita National Park and take a nature walk with your private naturalist tour guide, where many wildlife species will be easy to see such as sloths, monkeys, iguanas and even small yellow snakes. After it, visit a demostrative farm, where bananas, cocoa trees and many other local products are produced and our guide will explain all about it. The property have a nice souvenir store where you can buy souvenirs. Continuing the tour, take a boat tour along Tortuguero canal and its abundant wildlife, where more sloths can be seen. The tour includes a cultural drive arround Limon City, where history, culture, traditions and local cousine will be combined. A lunch stop can be included during the tour.

Captivating Costa Rica - We had a great time seeing the sites in and around Limon. Our guide Pablo was fantastic and provided us with wonderful information about Costa Rica. We got to see the rainforest, learn about the city of Limon, how bananas are exported and took a river boat tour where we saw monkeys and sloths. What a special day with a special guide. Outstanding tour!

Perfect day in Limon!! - We went on a tour yesterday with Estefan and we highly recommend it! He did a fantastic job showing us all the highlights of Limon. This is a much better experience than a bus ride with a bunch of people. We saw so much more than we would have on a bus tour. He was really good at showing us all the areas and explaining what we were seeing. Very well worth it!! Thanks Estefan!! We will be back.

Fun time in Puerto Limon - Our guide was very helpful and had an excellent knowledge of the area. The boat ride was enjoyable and we got to see a wonderful assortment of animals. We also enjoyed the banana and cacao plantation. A truly enjoyable experience.

Book now! Well worth it! - This tour will definitely fill your day with adventure! If you like seeing Costa Rican wildlife, being in nature and learning about the country you are in the right place! The walk through the park was packed with wildlife, the cruise was just long enough to give you a glimpse of anything you may have missed while at the park without losing your attention. All followed by a trip to a banana farm that had a great souvenir shop and you even got to taste a banana before you left and they are a delight! The city drive and the in depth knowledge of the country our guide possessed put the cherry on top! Carlos our guide and our driver Hector, made my dreams come true when they found me a sloth with a baby in tow!!! How exciting! Hector was also the best at pointing out great picture spots and capturing great memories to keep and cherish of me and my family. This was well worth the money 10/10 - 5 stars!

Tour in the rain - Our guide, Alberto (goes by Beto), made this tour special for us. His great personality combined with good communication skills, knowledge, detailed instructions and flexibility during a rainy day in the rainforest provided us with an enjoyable day visiting Costa Rica. Never seen anyone so well equipped for spotting animals on the boat tour of Tortuguero Canal and hiking the Cahuita National Forest. Even though it was pouring down rain, which did not allow us to go into the banana plantation fields, Beto made sure we understood how bananas were grown, sorted and exported. He introduced visual aids with a live banana flower pod and video of the harvest. Took us to a wonderful local cafe for lunch where we sampled local cuisine. Glad we had our rain ponchos the day of our tour.

Learning about the rainforest - A very nice walk and learning experience by a guide. The guide was very knowledgeable and definitely made the experience worthwhile. Lots of different poisonous frogs were spotted. And quickly stole the show, very pretty and colorful. Next was the different plants and their usefulness was described by our guide. Made for a good day trip,

So expensive and not worth the money - It was a terrible very expensive trip. Nothing to see for £600 for four people. The nature walk was a crowded path- lasted half an hour. And the boat trip was a joke. Shred nor private. We moved a very short distance with a crowd of other people.
