The Tortuguero canal, often referred to as the Amazon of Port Limon, is surrounded by lush greenery and rich flora and fauna. A scenic drive from the pier along the coast of Limon will bring you to a dock in Moin, where a pontoon boat awaits you. During the boat ride, you can witness orchids, water lilies, sloths, monkeys, crocodiles, caymans, basilisk lizards, and birds. At the end of the boat tour, you can savor local tropical fruits.
Next, you will be driven to the Cahuita National Park. Here, with an English-speaking tour guide, you will embark on a hike, see wildlife in their natural habitat, and have an opportunity to take a dip in the ocean or simply sunbathe. The journey continues with a drive to a banana plantation where the guide will enlighten you about the process of banana cultivation.
