An exceptional tour of Oakham with a fabulous guide - A really unique experience fantastically delivered by Steven. He showed us such different and fascinating historical artefacts . Oakham is full of history , amazing tales , architecture , beautiful blooms . Ranging from a 5 legged stocks in the butter market to alms houses , a statue of Queen Elizabeth with her corgis and unique thatched cottages . Steven was highly knowledgeable, great sense of humour and very personable ! Definitely a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ tour guide

Nice to find out more about the 'Birthplace' of saving the UK's historic buildings - Absolutely loved the tour. Our guide, Nicola, was spot on, plenty of historical, local anecdotes and background to keep you interested and to alter your view of Stamford. 'Always look up' will be a stand out one to take away. It was really nice to get the background to a lot of the buildings and it was fascinating to hear that Stamford was the leader in establishing organisations saving a lot of our historically important buildings throughout Britain. We were also lucky with the weather as well which made it a great morning out. Recommended!

Stunning Stamford - Our tour guide Bill was hugely informative and brought the history of Stamford to life. The town pretty much sells itself it is so beautiful, but it was fascinating to hear of the ‘bull run’ (pre-Pamplona) and Stamford’s different architectural incarnations. A wonderful place and a wonderful guide 😀

Best walking tour of beautiful Stamford - I’d been wanting to do a historical walking tour of Stamford for years but had never got around to it. A visit from distant relatives spurred me on to book it and I am so glad I did. Our guide Jim Grant, a canny Geordie professor was brilliant. He was very knowledgable but also very funny and really engaged will all of us. Stamford is a wonderful town but I had really underestimated its rich history and not truly appreciated its beautiful architecture. I intend to do the tour again with my friends coming over from NZ in June and the historical pub tour later in the year.

Informative, lots to see and learn but also entertaining. - We went on Jimmy’s tour of Stamford. It was informative and perfectly pitched. Jimmy was knowledgeable but also very funny and engaging. I learned lots about Stamford and the tour lasted a bit longer than the one and a half hours that was advertised. We saw so many hidden gems. I really liked Jimmy’s style as he appealed to both the history buff (eg my husband) and the trivia seeker (my cousin). Everyone went away with something they could remember. I would recommend without reservation.
