Dimitris views Rhodes as Greece’s scenic gem. He narrates, ‘At close proximity to a magnificent sandy shore lies Lindos, subtly hidden within surrounding hills that safeguarded it from pirate invasions. Amidst quaint sugar-cube houses rises the impressive Acropolis and the Temple of Athena.’ This spectacular panorama can be admired during a coffee break…

Excellent trip - We booked this trip while on a 10 day holiday in greece staying at atlantic dreams hotel. We arrived early at lindos after being collected by coach from the hotel and picking up some other travellers and it was explained why as the heat can be quite severe there as the day goes on. We had a lovely tour guide whom I think she advised us to call her emma ( she was pregnant) apologises if I have the name wrong. We were given ear pieces so we could hear her at all times. We walked up to the acropolis via the old town streets and path, which being 6.5 months pregnant I was quite surprised I managed although the lovely tour guide did regularly keep checking in with myself throughout the trip to ensure i was OK . We were given our tickets on paper already printed, given a amount of time to spend up in the acropolis and then in lindos town ourselves. There's a shuttle bus that takes u back up the hill to the coach park which was a god send. We then went on to rhodes town before parking up I believe we had a tour around some landmarks ( I was asleep blame the pregnancy exhaustion, 😅) we arrived and had a short walk thru the historic parts with a guided tour from our tour guide and ended in the square ,we were then given approx 3 hrs to explore have food and meet back in the square , we arrived back with plenty time, and we were all accounted for before walking down to the bus which was parked by the harbour. All in all we had a great day and trip and the tour guide couldn't of been any more helpful or informative- recommended to anyone who's thinking about it , it's a great experience ♡

Amazing landmarks, and lovely tour guide, however we did have problems - We would recommend to everyone visiting Rhodes to visit Lindos and the Rhodes Medieval City. Incredible architecture and sights. The day started off being collected from our hotel by coach. En route to Lindos we picked up other guests from different hotels. Along the drive, our lovely tourguide (unfortunately we can't remember her name) told us about certain landmarks, and about the history of Rhodes and the religions. Upon arriving at Lindos, we were guided down to the small city, and then to visit the acropolis. In the town, there was a donkey station, so my boyfriend and I decided to take a donkey ride up to the acropolis and to meet the rest of our group up top. This was a lovely addition. Entry to the acropolis cost €12 euro, which we think is a fair price. We were guided around the site, and then given time to explore and take photographs, and told when to meet at the bus. So we were able to also explore the city and buy some souvenirs. The bus then took us to the Medieval town, where we were able to explore and photograph. We had lunch at a lovely restaurant with great views, and shop from the tourist shops there. This is where things became problematic for us. We were given approximately 3 hours in the Rhodes old town from getting off the bus to meeting the bus at the end. In this time we had to have lunch, and sightsee, shop etc. Personally we felt this wasn't long enough and reckon the 2nd half of the tour could do with being an hour longer. We were told to arrive at the meeting point at 3:50. We arrived at 3:52 and there was no sign of our tour guide, group or bus. We waited a few minutes, then walked back to where the bus had left us whilst calling the tour providers, and were told to retrace our steps. Again, no sign of the group or bus. We called the providers again, and were told that the bus had departed without us, and that we would have to make our own way back to our hotel, costing us an additional €35 euros in a Taxi. We felt this could have been handled better: - the group should have given a 10 min time window before the bus departed - we should have had some way to contact our tourguide and not just the provider - as mentioned previously, we feel the second half of the tour would benefit from being an hour longer seeing as we had to factor in lunch. No criticism to the lady who guided us as she was nothing but lovely and knowledgeable and recommended us where to find lunch!
