Good skip the line ticket - We purchased the ticket en route to the acropolis, received our QR code tickets by pdf straight away and bypassed the ticket booth line. We headed to the turnstile where our tickets were scanned. There are a lot of steps to head up to the acropolis and many uneven surfaces due to it being an ancient site. Not accessible for pushchairs / wheelchairs.

SUNSET AT THE ACROPOLIS - I went to visit the acropolis of Lindos at the end of June, I had the ticket for 19-20... last entry at 19.40.... I arrived at 19.30.... in half an hour I still managed to enjoy the beauty of the acropolis and the wonderful view that can be seen from up there '. Beautiful experience and organization ok!

Make Lindos a day visit in your holiday diary. - Anything that has an historical connection, or impact on our European history must be worth visiting.....well perhaps not this Acropolis and especially during extreme hot summer weather and during peak holiday times. My son and I visited early July and paid 27.00 euro for our tickets ( pre booked). It was interesting to a point, and the views were stunning, but we both felt it was a lot of rubble and poorly maintained. Just avoid the hundreds of people visiting by bus and boat so go before 9.30....i believe it opens at 8.00. You will park away from lindos village (8.00 euro), so you will need good footwear, not flipflops as the walk down to the village and climb to the Acropolis is reasonably hard on the feet. (there are some narrow steep worn steps up to the entrance of the Acropolis and no handrail, so if you are scared of heights just be careful) .Lindos narrow streets are picturesque, but hold the usual horde of tourist type shops. If you can make a day of Lindos, hire a car, take your beach wear and make a day of it. Go sunbathing at the smaller of two beaches it is pleasant, and has small sheltered bay for swimming. Lindos streets get quieter early afternoon and can be fun to explore. Lots of lovely places to eat and stay till dark if you can, as it becomes even more idyllic. NB: they double park cars, so you will be asked to leave your keys with the parking attendants. I hope this helps.

Dangerous, slippy & charged more for not being in the EU - This is stunning at the top but the fact we were charged as we are no longer in the EU and how dangerous it was it’s only getting average. The walk is steep, slippery and not for the faint hearted in the heat! There were no safety rails, the steps inside had a sheer drop, so honestly not for young children or older people. The rocks were very slippy and seeing the poor donkeys with adults on them was awful! Beautiful at the top tho & glad I did go.
