Highlights
  • Marble Cave - Gadime Cave - The entry fee is 2 Euros per person, and 1 Euro for children. An English-speaking local guide is available. If it’s crowded, our guide will assist. Ongoing works are currently in progress. The cave is rich in stalactites and stalagmites. Known as Gadime Cave, this karstic limestone cave is located in the village of Gadime e Ulët, near the municipality of Lipjan in Kosovo. Much of the cave remains unexplored. It was discovered in 1966 by a villager named Ahmet Asllani while working in his garden. Gadime Cave is situated within marble limestones from the Mesozoic era. Over time, tectonic shifts and erosion have caused the marble to crack. The cave’s total length is 1,260 meters, and it covers an area of 56.25 hectares.

  • Gracanica Monastery - The next stop is one of the finest Orthodox churches in the Balkans. The Monastery of Gracanica is a stunning example of Serbian medieval architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The custos is very knowledgeable, providing a factual account of the monastery’s architecture, history, and fresco paintings. There is no entry fee.

  • Pristina - The next stop is Pristina, the capital and largest city of Kosovo. It serves as the administrative center of the municipality and district of the same name. We offer a walking tour through the city, visiting notable spots such as:

  • City Centre, where you will see state institutions, the main square, National Theatre, and Mother Theresa Street.

  • The National Library, built in the early 1980s with a brilliant architectural style, housing thousands of books and documents.

  • The Newborn monument, dedicated to Kosovo’s independence, changes colors every year and stands in front of the Palace of Youth and Sports.

  • Mother Theresa Cathedral, a Roman Catholic cathedral in Pristina, Kosovo.

  • Bill Clinton’s Statue, erected in gratitude for his support of Kosovo.

  • Prizren - The next stop is the city of Prizren, the second most populous city in Kosovo. It is located on the banks of the Bistrica River, between the foothills of the Sharr Mountains in southern Kosovo. Prizren has an oceanic climate influenced by the surrounding mountains. It is the historical capital of the country. While walking through the cobbled streets, we will visit:

  • The League of Prizren Memorial, an Albanian political organization founded on June 10, 1878, in the old town of Prizren during the Ottoman Empire.

  • Sinan Pasha’s Mosque, built in 1615 by Sofi Sinan Pasha, bey of Budim. The mosque overlooks the main street of Prizren and is a dominant feature of the town’s skyline.

  • Prizren Fortress, which overlooks the Prizren River that flows through the city and around which the city developed.

  • Kukes - Kukës is a city in the Republic of Albania. It is the capital of the surrounding municipality and county of Kukës, one of the 12 constituent counties of the republic. The city spans 8.2 square kilometers and had a population of 16,719 as of 2011.

Kosovo Tour highly recommend - I booked this tour specifically because of the incredible reviews I read about Jordan. While it had fewer reviews than other similar tours, what people said about him was exceptional and genuine, so I made sure to book this. Even with that, my experience far exceeded expectations. Aside for being extremely knowledgeable about Kosovo, and the region as a whole where he spent his life, Jordan is the perfect person to spend the day with. He is friendly and personable. He breaks up the drive with well placed stops and has interesting history and stories along the way. He offers a lot of flexibility to ensure you see and do what you wish. I had a private tour, and immediately felt as if we were long friends. The marble cave is a stop very well worth seeing. We stopped at a bear sanctuary and saw at least half a dozen large bears. You will see the famous church you expect from the itinerary in a Kosovo trip. You will see all the famous sites in Pristina, with the option of a Birds Eye view tour. Prizren is the old capital and full of history in a condensed area. We also added the stop in Kukes (Albania) which was well worth the additional time for the scenery and the lunch overlooking a lake. Jordan is passionate about ensuring his guests have a perfect experience and go home happy. I encourage you to read the other reviews to help your decision. If you are unable to join Jordan for the Kosovo tour, I recommend booking any of his others. His favorite tour is to Lake Orhid, you can search it by “From Skopje to Orhid in a day”, the first image shows ORHID in text of varying colors. (Make sure Kosovo will accept your passport before booking the tour, since some countries do not recognize Kosovo. It is not a problem for USA & EU passports, but worth checking first for some others).

An amazing day - We would like to thank our guide, Jordan, for an absolutely incredible day trip to Kosovo and Albania. Immediately upon meeting Jordan, we felt respected and cared for. We were even offered a cold drink in his car to make us more comfortable. The duration of our trip was 12 hours - In that time we visited the most important and interesting sights in the area, had lunch, coffee and desserts. Having lunch together felt like family, as Jordan was so kind, had a great sense of humour and spoke fluently in our language which was great for us. His knowledge of history and geography of the area was fantastic. We learned a lot listening to his commentary throughout the day. It was made clear to us that the day was for us to enjoy, so he was flexible and could change plans to suit us. This worked out well as we found out about a Bear Sanctuary that we wished to visit. He had no problem in taking us there and changing plans around. For all three of us, it was the first time seeing bears. We shared a heartwarming new experience. Throughout the trip we were assured not to worry about anything and we felt extremely safe. For each planned destination, Jordan arrived exactly at the time we were supposed to. He was very punctual and organised. We seriously consider coming back here from England to tour with Jordan again. We have met someone we will not forget. Thank you!

Daytrip to Kosovo - a wonderful experience - Jordan is the most knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide I have ever met. This was one of the best tours I have ever taken. Excellent coverage of Kosovo in a day (long) plus little bit of Albania. I will highly recommend it to anyone who loves to travel and interested in knowing the history and geopolitics of the Balkans.

Great tour covering complete Kosovo and more - Enjoyed our trip with Jordan a lot! He was very knowledgeable and we got to know the complete story of Kosovo and the southern Balkans in general. The tour covers the most important sights in Kosovo with different cities (Prizren is beautiful), UNESCO world heritage sights (Gracanica Monastery) and a beautiful dripstone cave. It’s a long day, but for us definitely worth it as you cover a lot more than you could normally cover in one day.
