Highlights
  • Castelo de S. Jorge - São Jorge Castle (Portuguese: Castelo de São Jorge; Portuguese pronunciation: [kɑʃˈtɛlu dɨ sɓ̃w̃ ˈʒɔʁʘ(ɨ)]; English: Saint George Castle) is a historic castle in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon, located in the freguesia of Santa Maria Maior. Human occupation of the castle hill dates to at least the 8th century BC[1][2] while the first fortifications built date from the 1st century BC.[3] The hill on which São Jorge Castle stands has played an important part in the history of Lisbon, having served as the location of fortifications occupied successively by Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, and Moors, before its conquest by the Portuguese in the 1147 Siege of Lisbon. Since the 12th century, the castle has variously served as a royal palace, a military barracks, home of the Torre do Tombo National Archive, and now as a national monument and museum.

Well worth the price - The staff were well informed. They didn’t a good job of explaining what we were wrong. It was nice to be on the traditional boat. I would recommend. Well with the price.

Fantastic tour, fabulous hosts - The tour was fantastic. Was on a quaint little sailing boat and sailed around the coast. The host, Marta, was impressively telling us lots of information and did it in 5 different languages! The wine was flowing and the views were fantastic. All of the staff were lovely and the Captain even let us take a picture of us driving the boat! Would 100% do it again.

Awesome tour! - Fantastic tour! The views of the city and the sunset were amazing. The traditional boat was lovely, and the crew very attentive—bringing around wine and lap blankets. That would have been enough to make it memorable…but we lucked out and we’re with a large family group celebrating (what? We don’t know. Maybe just that they were together). So the crew moved one of the benches and made an impromptu dance floor. What a blast!

Amazing sunset boat ride! - Great sunset boat ride, would recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon. Amazing views of the sunset and just good vibes in general. Be aware there may be mild splashing but that’s part of the fun. Wine was free flow and towels were provided which was much appreciated. Special shout-out to our multi-lingual guide Marta who gave interesting explanations of each attraction in Lisbon whilst also contributing to the chill and fun atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Engine Trouble - The tour never took place. The 7:00 trip was delayed until 7:30 because of engine difficulties. And then at 7:30, after waiting an extra 30 minutes, we were told the engine was still not working and there would be no trip. A good amount of wasted time!
