Sara is the best! - The trip was amazing! We’ve booked two trips, and both times we had so much fun and learned a lot of cool stuff. Our guide, Sara is so colorful when explaining, so passionate, it was super fun. The walking was not too intense.

Informative, interesting and essential - Our guide, Ricardo, was friendly, patient and very informative. Without this tour Lisbon would have been only half as wonderful. The history was woven into everything, both broad sweeps of time and specific sights and historical characters

Great walking tour through Alfama and Mouraria - My plane was late, so I missed the walking tour I had booked for the morning. I found that Hi Lisbon (the company with the orange umbrellas) had a 3:30 walking tour, and I was able to join that tour. Our guide was Samuel, and he was extremely knowledgeable about the history of these older parts of Lisbon. He took us to all the important sites in the two neighborhoods, explained the history of Portugal by expanding on what was depicted in a cartoon mural that we saw in a spot overlooking the city, told us many interesting anecdotes, explained the decorations for the saints holiday that was to be celebrated a few days later, and debunked some myths about the area. Samuel also took us to taste ginjinha, a delicious sour cherry liquor, and to the best bakery for pasteis de nata in the Alfama (but told us to be sure to also taste the pasteis de nata in Belém). I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and highly recommend Samuel and this company.

Walking tour of Lisbon - Our guide, Walter, was so informative, enthusiastic, engaging and personable. He brought Lisbon's history to life; the incredible diversity, the blends of faiths, architecture, gastronomy, and culture. He also sent us suggestions of sites to see and experience in Lisbon. We truly enjoyed the touch of local flavor that he provided!!!

Fun tour - The tour was good with a lot of interesting information and fun facts about the city. A lot of recommendations on what to eat, where to go and what to see. Very friendly and funny atmosphere. I also learned a lot about the history of Portugal. We even stopped by to try a homemade liquor. It was fun.

Basic tour - We walked around the Alfama snd Mouraria neighborhood with a basic overview of the historical background of the city. Our guide was friendly but was not engaged with the whole group at times due to a lot of private conversations that occurred with 1 particular tour member regarding the Arabic language.
