Batalha Monastery (1 hour 30 minutes):
Visit the magnificent Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, known as Batalha Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This impressive Gothic monument was built to commemorate the Portuguese victory at the Battle of Aljubarrota in 1385. Explore the church, cloisters, the Founder’s Chapel and the Imperfect Chapels, admire the stained glass windows and the tomb of Prince Henry the Navigator. -

Alcobaca - 1. Alcobaça Monastery (1h 30min):
Visit the imposing Monastery of Santa Maria de Alcobaça, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This Cistercian monastery, founded in 1153, is one of the most important and best preserved in Portugal. Explore the grand church, which houses the famous tombs of Pedro and Inês de Castro, the eternal Portuguese lovers whose tragic love story is famous. Tour the cloisters, the refectory, the monumental kitchen and the monks’ room, all examples of Cistercian Gothic architecture. The serene atmosphere and architectural beauty make this place one of the most emblematic in Portugal.

After visiting the monastery, we will explore the historic center of Alcobaça. Walk through Praça 25 de Abril, which offers a beautiful view of the monastery and is surrounded by shops and cafes. If time permits, we will try the typical convent sweets, such as egg rolls or cornucopias, which reflect the gastronomic tradition of the region.

Obidos - Visit to the Church of Santa Maria and the Castle of Óbidos and its walls (1H45):
Santa Maria Square, the heart of the village, where the Church of Santa Maria is located. This church, with its Renaissance architecture and beautiful tiles, was the scene of the wedding of King Afonso V and his cousin Isabel in 1441, when both were still children. After visiting the church, we continue on to the Castle of Óbidos, one of the best examples of medieval military architecture in Portugal.
