This tour was very good.... - This tour was very good. Andryi is extremely knowledgeable about all of the stops. He was one of the best guides we have had on any of our tours. The monastery is very impressive. Oh, and the stop at the pastry shop was a bonus.

Time and money well-spent - Best way to visit Jeronimos Monestary is with Andriy and his small group walking tour. He guided us to purchase tickets for the Monestary in advance and we sailed right in. The line awaiting entry was all the way down the block as we walked in and started our tour. Andriy is very knowledgeable and brought this beautiful building to life for us. We also visited Belem Tour, several monuments, and learned about Portugal's glory days of navigating the globe. Andriy delivered exactly as promised in every aspect of our tour.

The best of Belem with a caring and knowledgeable guide - We had heard that touring the Jeronimos monastery with a guide would give us priority to enter the monastery over long lines, and were happy to find prior reviews of this small group tour praising the knowledge and enthusiasm of its guide, Andrij. Let me add our endorsement for this tour and Andrij. We were part of a group of four that morning and Andrij first explained about the nearby "Pink Palace" where the Portuguese president lived, and then took us for pasteis de nate at the original Belem bakery. His tour of the Monastery was always interesting and very thorough. Afterwards we stopped for a break at a nearby cafe, and then walked down to the Monument to the Navigators, which he also explained, and to the Belem tower. I do a lot of my own research and am very picky about organized tours, but I really enjoyed this one and felt it was a great investment. And since we didn't spend the morning in long lines, we were able to take the train from the Belem station afterward to spend a lovely sunny afternoon in Cascais!
