Wonderful touring with Francisco Canas at Portugal Magik - We used Portugal Magik for two full private touring days in the Lisbon area with Francisco Canas as our guide. On day one, we did the Lisbon Historical + Jewish Highlights + Belem tour and on day two we did the Sintra tour. The Lisbon Historical (etc.) tour gave us a close up overview of the various neighborhoods in the city. Francisco was terrific at tailoring the tour to our needs and desires (we enjoyed the heavy emphasis on walking in certain areas as we requested) and was terrific at explaining the history of the city and its key sights. We particularly enjoyed stopping at local places for snacks, drinks and meals which gave us a great feel for life in Lisbon. The Sintra tour was also outstanding. Rainy weather made things somewhat of a challenge, but Francisco handled it well. As we did on day one, we got to stop at some local establishments for snacks and meals which we really enjoyed.
We recommend that you ask specifically for Francisco Canas. He is local to the Lisbon area, speaks perfect English, is very knowledgeable about the city and its history and is very easy to converse with over the couple of days. He made our touring in Lisbon and Sintra a special treat.

Wonderful Experience! - We had the most wonderful experience with two private tours! Our first was a private pickup from the airport and a tour of Lisbon on the day we arrived. Miguel Safara was our driver/guide and he was exceptional! We were also lucky enough to have Miguel on our second private tour of Sintra and Pena Palace! Portugal Majik tours provided the most informative and responsive customer service during the months leading up to our trip. I would 100% recommend them for anyone's visit to Portugal!

Great private tour of Lisbon! - This was a fabulous tour. Andre was very knowledgeable about all of Lisbon and kept my teenagers entertained. I was fascinated by all the history. Andre also took some fabulous pictures.
The vehicle was immaculately clean and Andre was a safe driver.
I would not hesitate to book with Portugal Magik again.

Making memories - Our tour of Lisbon’s City Highlights was wonderful. We were a family of 7 ( with 2 teenagers) and everyone enjoyed the many beautiful and historic places that we were taken to. Our tour guide, Victor, was knowledgeable, very personable and funny! He was sensitive to our individual needs and very accommodating to our requests. Would highly recommend this tour.

Great tour, excellent and professional customer service - An excellent day out with Portugal Magik touring the areas around Lisbon. Great car, knowledgeable and friendly driver who made it very easy for us to enjoy ourselves without needing to think about anything, which is exactly what I want on vacation. Even more, the company gave me absolutely zero hassles to redeem a credit from over two years prior (another family member who'd booked a tour was unable to use it at due to an injury just a few days prior to her scheduled trip). That shows a lot of integrity to me. The communication from start to finish, from booking to reminders to meeting the driver to finishing up the trip, was top notch. I'll contact them again for sure.

A excellent tour company - We want to have a tour through Lisbon, and knowing that the city is the seven hills city, we decided to book with Portugal Magik Private tours. We were the two of us and our guide, Andy, picked us up at our hotel. He brought us first to Belem and made us visit the tower and the monument for the sailors. We got a nice course of Portuguese history. Then we went to Pasteis de Belem, the custard shop, were we tasted the pasteis and had coffee. From then on we went to the historical centre of Lisbon. We got to see the highlights such a the San Justa elevator, the cathedral, the birthplace of San Antonio, magnificent viewpoints. We had lunch in the Time Out market. The tour had a duration of eight hours, but it was really worth it. Excellent company, excellent communication and of course a more than excellent tour guide.

Book it now!! - We booked this 3 day tour of the Lisbon area and were beyond thrilled with it!! Our guide, Joao, was so attentive to our preferences, personalizing our tour. Joaa's knowledge of Portugal's history was fantastic. We packed so much into our 3 days, but we never felt rushed. One the highlights of tour was the FOOD! I am not a fan of seafood, which is definitely a Portuguese specialty. Joao selected restaurants that had a wide selection for this picky eater. Our vacation continued up to the Porto area, but Lisbon was the star of the trip!! I would give this tour a 10/10, I would give Joao a 20/10!!

Andre was the best! - On our first day, we had Andre take us on a full-day private guided tour of Lisbon, which hit all the highlights. Andre was incredibly knowledgeable about the history (and which pastry shop is the best) and passionate about sharing his enthusiasm with us. He was flexible about how much time we spent where and easy-going.
On Day 2, he took us to Sintra, Cabo da Roca (the westernmost place in continental Europe), and his hometown of Cascais, a lovely beach town. The communication was excellent throughout - from when we made inquiries to when he picked us up at our hotel. They made very helpful suggestions, such as booking the first time slot to visit Sintra to avoid the long lines. Andre knew the traffic patterns well, so we also took the backroads to visit the cute Village of Sintra without getting caught in what seemed to be a mile-long line of cars. We would highly recommend Andre as your guide and Portugal Magik as your tour organizer.

Short Visit / Long on Sights and Memories - This was actually 2 tours but the system wouldn't let me pick 2. Having less than 2 days in Lisbon I decided to book a private tour. 1) Airport pick-up with an introductory driving / walking tour of Lisbon and 2) a full day tour of Obidos. I could have done more but I was very tired from international flight. As a private tour I had total flexibility both days. The driver Andre was great and pretty much did as I asked. He helped with luggage, we had a light meal, we saw more sights than I thought I could fit into 1.5 days. I even asked him to walk the top of the walls with me at Obidos and he gladly did. His knowledge of Portugese history was excellent. He also seems to be a student of world affairs so we had lots to talk about. Booking these tours was very easy. All of the folks I interacted with via email were professional and courteous and prompt! I can't say enough good things about this company and driver / guide Andre.

Portugal Magik is truly Magical!! - We took an 8 day private tour with Portugal Magik with another couple - so 4 of us. Portugal Magik is truly magical. Gonzalo is the owner - he answers usually within 24 hours any questions. Diogo was our driver and guide the entire time. On a scale of 1 to 10 I wish I could give him 100!!! Seriously he was a very careful driver especially since we had unusually heavy rains. He was incredibly knowledgeable of all the history and facts of Portugal. In addition Diogo added some special extra stops for us - including a sardine factory among others. He arranged daily lunches at special restaurants and helped order our food so we experienced Portugal cuisine. Diogo was always early on our daily pickups so no worries. We had made dinner reservations in advance so he confirmed the restaurants and what we could order. He cleaned the Mercedes van every night and had umbrellas and water for us. We could not have seen 1/2 of what we saw on our own. We saw Lisbon and did day trips to Sintra and other cities, then Coinbra and on to Porto.Diogo met us at the airport and deposited us there for our way home. Portugal Magik is worth its weight in gold!!!!
