Obidos - The medieval village of Óbidos is one of the most picturesque and well preserved in Portugal.
Close enough to the capital and situated high above the Atlantic coast, Óbidos had a strategic importance in the territory. Already occupied before the Romans reached the Iberian Peninsula, the village became more prosperous from the moment it was chosen by the royal family.

We first set out to explore Óbidos, with its medieval walls, quaint white dwellings, and robust and diverse local customs. We will make sure to visit the Castle as well. Next, we proceed to the vibrant and scenic fishing village of Nazaré. We will get a glimpse into the town’s legends and traditions. We then continue on to Batalha, where we will tour the monastery church, a stunning Gothic piece of architecture with intricately-designed stained-glass windows. Finally, we reach the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, a central place for Christian worship and global pilgrimage. This location also features the Chapel of Apparitions and its representation of Our Lady of Fátima. There will be ample leisure time for attending mass. We then travel through this lively farming area to return back to Lisbon. (Please be aware that the order of visit may change)
