Throughout the journey, we will spend time in Evora, a site of significant historical importance in Portugal. This walled city has been a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1986 and is famous for its Roman Temple, the well-known Cathedral, and various points of interest within its Castle Walls. A visit to the village of Monsaraz, near the Alqueva, home to Europe’s largest man-made lake, is also on our itinerary. A traditional Portuguese restaurant will be our lunch stop. In 2017, CNN listed Monsaraz among Europe’s Top 20 hilltop villages. Furthermore, American National Geographic Magazine included Monsaraz in its list of 21 must-visit places globally!
