Fantastic music and food - As someone with sensory issues I was dreading the but it was one of the best things I’ve ever done. The music was full of emotion and you don’t have to understand Portuguese to enjoy it. Mohamed, our guide was fantastic, explaining everything we needed to know not only about the music but the area as well. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing Fado Experience - Muhammad did an amazing job, from finding us at the meeting point to walking with us to the Fadon House. The appetizers were all delicious, but the best part was the music. Wasn't sure I'd like it since I don't speak Portuguese, but the music was beautiful. You don't have to understand the language to enjoy &;appreciate Fado.

Just OKAY - The place was way too small and very crowded. Couldn’t see the singers but they had good voices. Fado is part of Portuguese culture which Juan our tour guide did a good job of explaining its background and history.

Not on my list of things to recommend - The music was nice the location good and tour guide ,Muhammad, was excellent but, perhaps because I don't understand the language I didn't get it. 2 hours was way too long for the tour. In my opinion it's not worth paying for this tour, I heard beautiful Fado singers while I was walking thru the town. This not a tour I would recommend

Do not do it. Deceitful & Stingy - You should skip this tour. Viator has so many better tours. This tour was terrible. The music was fine but the restaurant was bad. They offered 3 appetizers without any water. We had to order wine & mineral water. We then had to pay in addition to the $78.00 for 2. Also had to pay for the bread that we ate. No one ever mentioned that we will have to pay extra for the drinks & bread. The place was terrible. Back-less benches, the bathroom door did not locked someone had to guard the door. Finally they did not accept credit cards, nor U. S. dollars. Only Euros. When I suggested to the man they put a sign saying Cash Only he replied “My country my rules”. Quite an a..hole. No one from Viator warned us about paying for our drinks & bread or that they accept no credit cards. VIATOR SHOULD REFUND OUR MONEY FOR SUCH A BAD TOUR. If you are thinking about taking this tour…. Do not do it. You will regret it like we do.

Bad experience - Not worth the money. Performance is set in a restaurant that served poor quality tapas with rude staff. Seating is uncomfortable with obstructed views of the performance. Guide provided minimal information about fado. The singers and musicians were good however the overall mood and atmosphere of the restaurant ruined it.

Avoid this tour! - This tour was a total disappointment. We started a half hour late, walked 2 blocks to a “Fado restaurant “, so not a tour. The restaurant sat us in a different room from where the Faso musician’s were performing. We couldn’t hear or see the show, the single class of cheap wine was a 4 oz pour (charged $10 for additional 4 oz pours). The “tapa’s” consisted of a few wedges of stale cheese. And worst of all, our guide knew nothing about the history of Fado, was reading an explanation of it of his phone. I wrote to the tour company asking for a refund and never heard back from them. I was so annoyed/angry I left early. Terrible experience!
