Great day out from Lisbon - A good trip out of Lisbon with some interesting stops along the way, each one different so that made it more memorable. A good size group for this type of excursion, with a minivan of 8 plus driver.

A lovely day - This tour is a wonderful combination of religious, historical and natural places of interest. The Fatima sanctuary was our first stop. It wasn't crowded at all which made the visit more enjoyable. Obidos is a charming old town with interesting architecture and the Batalha Monastery is impressive. Unfortunately the ocean was quite calm and we didn't see huge waves in Nazare but the views from the lighthouse are incredible. Last but not least, our guide Matteo was a wonderful driver, who was fluent in many languages. He was a very enthusiastic and informative guide.

Beautiful - Our driver Ruben was great. Best part was Obilios. I would have liked more time at each stop but know we have a good sense of the sights close to Lisbon. Thank you

As a day trip from... - As a day trip from Lisbon, this offers something for everyone. Our driver and guide Nuno was reliable and had interesting information to share about these towns. Fatima is a significant pilgrimage site and those who came for that alone, got everything they needed. There was enough free time to appreciate these four towns,.

I can’t believe others gave this a 5 star review - We started with a note from the tour operator the day before the tour asking us to arrive 10 minutes early because the tour driver would be unable to wait for us. Fair enough. We walked to the designated pick up location and when no one was there I messaged the company. I was told they may be late due to traffic. I am suppose to arrive early and yet it’s ok for you to be late? So we stood out in the cold and waited. Not a great start to the day. The van was full. My 20 year old son and I had to cramp in the front seat next to the driver with literally no leg room. We started our hour and twenty minute drive without even an introduction. We never did learn the guide’s name. We sat in silence for the entire ride. No plan for the day, no details about what we were going to see and no history about Portugal or the areas. We were only told there would be a stop for coffee, washrooms and souvenirs. This was in a remote location we were taken to one of the worst tourist traps I’ve even seen. They were selling playing cards for 8 and 9 euros. To put the in prospective, I purchased cards in Lisbon just two days earlier for 2 euros! Most of what was sold was religious based which I thought was even worse. Using religion to rip off tourists. Shame on you. We were stuck there for 30 minutes. Next we went to Fatima and were given a brochure about the buildings but told very little about them. We couldn’t understand what the guide was telling us about the 3 children there and ended up looking it up on Wikipedia. It turned out the little he did tells us wasn’t even right. We were once again stuck at a Catholic Flea Market with an overpriced Jesus saves cafe. Then we were off to Batalha were we had some some details about the Monastery and then an hour of free time. Nazaré was amazing….finally a stop with lots to do, however; here we were only given 30 minutes and again the guide didn’t provide us with any information about the area, history or things to do. Our final stop was Óbidos, a fabulous little spot. Our guide pointed out the aqueduct and said it was 4 km long and then told us where to find the main road of the village and that it was one way in and one way out. We had an hour here which wasn’t nearly enough time. Then it was back to the van for a silent hour plus drive back. We would have been so much better off just to have gotten an Uber to Nazaré and Óbidos. It really wasn’t much of a tour at all and definitely not worth what we paid.
