Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima - This Marian pilgrimage site commemorates the apparitions of Our Lady to the three shepherd children, Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta, which took place in 1917 and were officially recognized in 1930. The location, originally a rural property known as Cova da Iria, was owned by Lúcia’s parents, who generously donated it to the sanctuary. Five of the six apparitions occurred here. The Sanctuary features the Chapel of Apparitions, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, the Prayer Room, and the Basilica of the Holy Trinity. Visitors have the opportunity to attend a mass in the Chapel of Apparitions, enjoy some free time for a snack, and purchase souvenirs.
