On this journey, we’ll be visiting a significant site of Marian devotion, the Fátima Sanctuary. Prior to 1917, its location, Cova da Iria in the municipality of Ourém, was relatively unknown. It gained prominence due to a religious event involving three young shepherds - Jacinta, her brother Francisco, and their cousin Lúcia, claiming to have seen multiple apparitions of Our Lady of Fátima. At the Fátima Sanctuary, we’ll visit the Basilica Nossa Senhora de Fátima, home to the graves of Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta. Additionally, we’ll tour the Chapel of the Apparitions, where Our Lady of Fátima is believed to have spoken to the shepherd trio, as well as the Basilica of the Holy Trinity. We’ll also allocate time for shopping for religious memorabilia for you and your loved ones. The tour concludes with a prayer and the enchanting Candles Procession in the evening!
