On this journey, with the assistance of electric bicycles, we’ll traverse the 7 Hills of Lisbon and 14 Scenic Overlooks.
On this route, we’ll explore some of Lisbon’s most renowned Scenic Overlooks, such as Graça, Santa Luzia, Srª do Monte along with several less well-known ones.
Experiencing Lisbon from above is astounding, yet immersing yourself in historical districts like Alfama, Mouraria, Graça, guided by a local expert, is an experience to be cherished.
In these districts, we’ll take multiple pauses to familiarize ourselves with the surroundings, hear little-known anecdotes and visit old-style shops.
We’ll also break for a sampling of the conventional Portuguese drink, ginjinha.
While traversing our path we’ll be seeing traditional Lisbon residences, both big and small, adorned with varied hues, or decorated with beautiful tile artworks, which will be a part of this biking adventure.
Along our way, we’ll also pass numerous major city monuments.

Excellent Lisbon Hills Bike Tour - Ricardo led us on a fantastic bike tour through Lisbon. Ricardo is friendly, fun & incredibly knowledgeable about Lisbon & Portugal history. He is the best tour guide! We had a great time!

Recommend for the daring. - Pedros was a gteat host. Some of the group decided thst it was a little too scary and chose a flatter route, but my teen sons and I forged ahead. The beginning was difficult just getting used to the controls and tension for breaking. Lisbon has ridiculously steep hills so this journey requires a bit of a daredevil attitude. But once I got used to the controls, I could really enjoy the vast amount of ground we covered sightseeing and Pedros history lesson. He's a native Lisboan. The views were magnificent

An amazing day! - Pedro our guide was fantastic! Great fun and a wonderful way to see the key sites of Lisbon when we were only in town for the day! The hills were steep, but easy to climb with the electric bikes! Traffic can be a bit challenging at times, but we always felt safe. Probably not the best for novice bike riders.

Super experience on e-mountain bikes with a lot of power! - We reported to freebike at 10am. It is near Apalonia metro station. Pedro, our guide, adjusted the saddle of our mountain e-bikes, explained what to expect and we then set off together with an American couple. It was a great tour! Pedro was very friendly, spoke very good and understandable English and knew a lot about what we encountered along the way. Lots of uphills (easy on these bikes) but also downhills on 'cobblestone' roads (hard braking). So you do need some cycling experience for this tour, also to cycle fearlessly through the sometimes busy traffic and/or crowds. Dutch people who are used to cycling in the Netherlands can do this, but people who rarely ride a bike and are not used to cycling traffic may find it a bit difficult. We enjoyed this 4-hour tour which is very worthwhile. Seen many highlights (literally) of Lisbon in a short time.

A great way to see Lisbon from ground level and the hilltops. - What a fabulous bike ride and tour. On our first full day in Lisbon, we met our guide, Hugo, and it turned out we were the only two people signed up for the tour. After being fitted with bikes and helmets (optional but highly recommended) we set off to explore the city. We spent a beautiful half day climbing the hills of Lisbon and taking in some fabulous views of the city. The fact that it was a beautiful day made the experience even better. This was a great way to start our vacation, as it gave us a great overview of the city. It may not be the best tour for inexperience riders, but if you love e-biking, I would highly recommend this tour.

Best way to tour Lisbon - Highly recommend this tour! Lisbon is very hilly and streets are confusing. We were able to see so much more than if we did a walking tour. Hugo was a great guide and knowledgeable about the history. He gave us time to explore the areas we visited as well as gave us recommendations for dinners and drinks.

Great tour that covers the city! - This was a great tour, 4 1/2 hours long lead by Hugo. There were many stops with breathtakin views of the city, cathedrals, churches and others. Each stop was well narrated by Hugo. One really can cover the city on a bike in the 4 - 4 1/2 hour time of this tour. The e-bikes are great, climbing the hills was effortless. One needs to be a confident cyclist, as you are going up and down steep cobble stoned streets, mixing with cars, tuk tuks, pedestrestians [as one would in medievel / modern large city.] Lisbon is beatiful, full of awesome historical neighborhoods that demand real time. This tour allows you to see all of them - you will know which neighborhoods deserve a return trip on foot after this tour.
