The historic tram no. 28, packed with passengers, winds through Alfama and climbs to the 11th-century São Jorge Castle. The views from Miradouro da Graça extend over the city and the Tagus River. At night, it is possible to hear the melancholic fado in some of the restaurants in the area, which have long been in operation.
