- Castelo de S. Jorge - São Jorge Castle (Portuguese: Castelo de São Jorge; Portuguese pronunciation: [kɑʃˈtɛlu dɨ sɓ̃w̃ ˈʒɔʁʘ(ɨ)]; English: Saint George Castle) is a historic castle in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon, located in the freguesia of Santa Maria Maior. Human occupation of the castle hill dates to at least the 8th century BC[1][2] while the first fortifications built date from the 1st century BC.[3] The hill on which São Jorge Castle stands has played an important part in the history of Lisbon, having served as the location of fortifications occupied successively by Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, and Moors, before its conquest by the Portuguese in the 1147 Siege of Lisbon. Since the 12th century, the castle has variously served as a royal palace, a military barracks, home of the Torre do Tombo National Archive, and now as a national monument and museum.

The two-hour sunset sail kicks off at the refurbished ‘Sul e Sueste’ boat station adjacent to Commerce Square. This communal voyage offers a chance to marvel at the splendid vistas of the historic downtown, cruising past landmarks including the Commerce Square, São Jorge Castle, Alfama, National Pantheon, Santa Apolónia Station, Cacilhas, Christ the King statue, the 25th of April bridge, Belem Tower, Discoveries Monument, MATT and Ajuda Palace. Post-sunset, the sky’s hue transitions, setting the stage for a spectacular experience, complemented by freely served wines from the southern Setúbal region during the journey. Fado music plays throughout the trip, setting the mood for an enjoyable experience that includes relishing in the cruise, the wine, the breathtaking views, and the enthralling tales of the sailors about traditional Lisbon boats.

Simple sunset sailing - A delightful small boat experience watching the sunset over Lisbon. Very simple, gentle and easy on the soul & spirit. Glad of the blankets they handed out - and the wine as it got a little chilly when the sun disappeared behind the clouds. However, had a spectacular sunset and the light was magical!

Timely Sunset Cruise - The evening cruise was very nice and peaceful. The route circling the Teju bay was perfect. You get to see a good picture of the Lisbon surrounding regions on both side of the river in closeup and far away. The sunset wraps it up nicely. The dj lady was particularly welcome. She had a great smile. The only slight remark I would have of the cruise is its overcrowdiness. Giving guests more room. I Would highly recommended.

Phenomenal experience - Calm and nice atmosphere. Absolutely stunning sunset, beautiful views. Mafalda is excellent tour guide, fluent in different languages. Don’t miss this and wear a jumper 🙂

Brilliant - We were a group of 11 ladies of a certain age and felt a little nervous when the traditional boat arrived but our fears were soon eased. The crew were fabulous, especially Gabby whose knowledge was very impressive. The only criticism was that the wine was really poor but at the price of the cruise that's not surprising. One word of advice is take a warm jacket. Overall it was an amazing experience.

Very enjoyable sunset cruise - This 16km cruise exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We liked that the tour took us down the Tagus to Belem and we were able to view the 25 de Abril Bridge, Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries from the water which gave us a much better vantage point. The commentary on-board was informative and not irritating. The wine kept flowing during the cruise. I would highly recommend this cruise.

Recommend it! - Great time with the helpful crew! Beautiful views of the city, local guide, and enjoyable wine… great for those that aren’t able to walk as much or if your feet hurt!

The wine was flowing! - The wine was flowing for sure! Dress warm it was chilly! More announcing would have made it better. And the music on the trip return was great, the same vibe on the way out would have been awesome! You may get a little wet if there are waves.
