Stunning breataking to see. Wonderful - Absolutely mesmerising. I wasnt going to go but so glad I did. Founded by Queen Amelia in 1908 it contains the carriages from Royal Household. Oldest dates to 1708 which took King Philip from Spain to Lisbon in two days! The 3 Ambassador coaches sent as envoy to the Pope are works of art. Magnificent afterwards King Pedro had them shipped back to Lisbon. This was so good I went back twice. Cafe is very good (you can go there before visiting its outside building) staff so helpful. Only criticism is the poor quality gallery of the monarchs. I dudbt have time to see it first time. There no information on them and itss not even portraits of them just Picasso style pictures . However this is magnificent to see Royal Household carriages. Cant wait to visit again!!

Excellent Museum Visit - The range of coaches in this museum was staggering. Such a precious collection. We took about an hour to explore and could have taken more time, but we had a schedule to maintain. Go, you will enjoy.

Tour good. Viator missing in action. - The coaches were absolutely astonishing. Bravo to whoever had the foresight to collect these works of art for posterity. Having said that we paid extra for an audio tour which frustratingly we could not get to work. And of course who do you get to help you? You are a tourist in another country and there is no way in that moment to contact Viator. I have another tour booked with Viator the I may cancel since there is no help line should something go wrong.
