Located at latitude 38º 47´ North and longitude 9º 30´ West, Cabo da Roca is an important coordinate for those who sail along the coast, being the westernmost point of the continental European continent, a fact proven by the certificate that visitors take as remembrance.
About 150 meters from the sea, here you can have a comprehensive view over the Serra de Sintra and the coast, which makes the visit worth it.
Historical records point to the existence of a fort in Cabo da Roca in the 17th century. XVII which played an important role in guarding the entrance to Lisbon, forming a defensive line along the coast, especially during the Peninsular Wars. Currently there are only traces, apart from the lighthouse which continues to be an important point for navigation.
- Cascais - Stop to discover Cascais, a town located next to the sea and traditionally a fishing village, which underwent important development in the 19th century. XIV. But it was in the century. XIX, when sea bathing began to be popular, Cascais underwent a boost that transformed it into a summer resort for the aristocracy and the Portuguese royal family. Take the opportunity to take a stroll through the streets that have excellent quality shops or a few moments of rest on one of the many terraces that exist here. The beaches continue to be one of the biggest attractions, so if the weather permits, don’t forget your bathing suit and go for a swim on one of Cascais’ many beaches.

Very good tour. - Worthwhile tour. Fascinating history. Lots of climbing; great exercise. Not advisable for those with heart, mobility issues. Ricardo was top notch. Long day but worth it. Nice stop at the coffee shop in the way. . City centre had lots of good places to eat and quaint stores.

An amazing tour with the best guide who also is a wonderful person - I went on a tour with Ricardo in June 2024. There were three of us on the tour: two other tourists and I. Ricardo organized an amazing tour: we saw and learned a lot. After the tour, I had to go to the hospital due to an unexpected necessity occurred for me. Ricardo drove me there, though he wasn't obliged to do that since the tour was already over. Moreover, Ricardo was ready to come and visit the hospital with me to help me there as I don't speak Portuguese. It's incredible. Ricardo is not only an excellent guide, but also a very kind and helpful person.

Must do tour. - Great tour. Very organized. Tour guides Ivan and Ruth were excellent. Ivan really knew his history. Had plenty of time to explore. They took care of everything. Highly recommend.

Great places to visit. Beautiful views, great small towns, little hard to walk uphill but we did it! Highly recommended - Mark, was excellent, very approachable. Very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The trip was great because of Mark.

Great Way To Spend a Day Outside Lisbon - My husband and I did this tour a few days ago. We both enjoyed it tremendously. Our guide, Ricardo, was fantastic. He was both personable and knowledgable, and we enjoyed spending the day with him. (He also stopped at convenient spots on the steep walk up to the castle, so we could catch our breath, with interesting stories about the history of the castle and surrounding areas, which was appreciated.). The additional stops to other cities were fun, as well. I would highly recommend this tour!!

Lovely day out! - Our tour to Sintra, Cabo da Roca and Cascais was in fact entirely as advertised and expected!
Ricardo as our guide did really great, as he was always friendly, well-spirited, and open to questions and conversation. He accompanied our visit to the palace in full, making lots of interesting and remarkable observations, thus rendering it much more fruitful and pleasant than we could ever have done if by ourselves only! At no time there was any rush on us, even with some time allowed for us to explore a little on our own, and also to have lunch. Time and money well spent!

Poor communication and effort by Tour company - Having booked I Tour You day tour to Sintra, Cabo de Roca and Cascais months ago, arrived in Lisbon and advised tour had been cancelled by company with 24 hours before departure.
