Awesome tour with awesome guide - The entire tour with Gui was terrific. We left Lisbon for a tour of Nazare and Obidos, and enjoyed the full day. Gui has tremendous knowledge of Portugal, its history and sites. He also has a light-hearted and friendly demeanor that kept the tour lively, entertaining, and fun. The scenery was amazing, we ate at an excellent local restaurant in Nazare, and had a great day. Highly recommend this tour and Gui specifically.

Excellent and personable tour guide - João was amazing! He was so accommodating, We got to see everything we wanted. He even took a little side trip that wasn’t on the schedule because he knew we wanted to see Fatima. He is very gregarious and we learned a lot about his background, daily Portuguese life and history. His commentary really added to our tour. He did everything in his power to give us a memorable experience. We can’t recommend him highly enough, you’ll be glad if you get to meet him.

First surprise private tour - This is a private tour - from the site it was ambiguous but it definitely is. In saying that we have never done a private tour before - was FANTASTIC. Communication was easy. Picked up from our accommodation. Our guide was GUI - if you’ve always read some of the reviews on here you know what I’m about to say - he made the day go smoothly, easy to talk to, great knowledge of the area, history and what’s what. Active listener who was able to give options based on what we were interested in. He adapted to what we both were interested in - ensuring we both had a great time in a smooth manner without issue. We can not speak more highly of him. Would thoroughly recommend this tour and GUI.

Book a professional and avoid the hassle. - Do yourself a favor and book this tour; it is the best way to get to know these three places. Important things to know: You will have a guide who knows the history of Portugal, great places to eat, and the best ways to get there. In our case, we had João, an amazing tour guide who showed us the good things and gave us very useful tips about the trip and other cities too. It is important to know that parking is usually very complicated, so do not try to do this yourself. Relax and let the professionals take care of you.

Best Day Trip from Lisbon - This was a perfect day trip from Lisbon. Our guide made sure we had the best day ever! I cannot express how grateful we are to have had such a memorable day exploring the best of Portugal. Tomar takes your breath away with its stunning architecture. Then to the coast, a fun and vibrant beach town with breathtaking views from the cliffs. And to end the day, a colorful historic village with chocolate around every corner. Quite literally a dream.

Excellent tour made even better by Joao Pedro our guide - This was a very enjoyable tour made possible by our fantastic guide, Joao Pedro. Joao arrived early and was waiting for us, even though we were earlier than the appointed time by 10 minutes. He is a local and his knowledge of the area and the history is outstanding. We learned much more than any guidebook has written in it, including Rick Steves, our go to guidebook author. We learned so much about the Knights Templer and Portugal's Manueline architectural style which once it was pointed out to us with its unique features we would see again and again throughout our various tours for the next 3 days. I can say without hesitation I would highly recommend Joao to any one and have already done so to one of our friends who will be touring Portugal later this year. If you are lucky to have Joao as your guide, you will have a very memorable tour.

Wonderful day sightseeing with a great tour guide! - Our visit to Tomar and the Convent of Christ (“Templar Castle”) was a true highlight. Our guide, João , was very knowledgeable and made this visit. We also had a great lunch in Nazaré and learned a little history and saw the surfing highlights. Our last stop was Obidos, with a walk up to the castle walls and a little tour around town. We stopped in a small old fashioned grocery and bought some wonderful Ginjinha. João was knowledgeable and shared lots of recommendations on wine and restaurants for the rest of our visit.

Discovery surf and historical turf - We were picked up exactly on time by João Pedro and headed to the beautiful and fascinating Knights Templar castle and monastery, convent. The ride was comfortable and he is a good driver and very knowledgeable about the history and area. The garden was closed but we enjoyed walking through everything else. Then to lunch for barnacles and shrimp at the freshest place ever and on to Nazare! I wish we had seen the big waves but we knew we wouldn't!! Cool surfboard exhibit and learned that people body surf there too. Obidos was lovely and so interesting also. Met the 5th generation owner of the oldest grocery in the village and had the most delicious organic Ginja there. That was after our effort to try 52 different shots in the village (j/k) ! The tour was worth every euro! And João Pedro shared a great list of recommendations for the Algarve and Lisbon for the rest of our stay in Portugal!!
