A must do tour…do it early on your stay - An informative and well organised tour. Our tour guide Martim was knowledgeable and interesting in both history and the food we ate. We visited many places we would not have considered that were under the radar but also showing off local cuisine.

A broad and tasty introduction to Lisbon's food, history, and neighborhoods - A thoughtfully designed tour that lets you see several neighborhoods in Lisbon and introduces you to a broad array of traditional Portuguese foods. I would recommend to anyone wanting to combine maximizing the number of neighborhoods you see in a short time with a history/food tour. We covered a lot of ground on this tour. We got to see the Graca, Alfama, Mouraria, and downtown areas and tried restaurants at each. Along the way, Martim our guide pointed out wonderful vista points and offered fascinating tidbits on Lisbon's and Portugal's history and how they fit into the modern context...it wasn't just about food either; for example, we learned about Fado (Portugal's famous and unique musical style) and its place in Portugal today. The food was very well thought out - yes, you get foods that Lisbon is most famous for, like pastel de nata (custard pastry) and pastel de bacalhau (cod fritter). But they also make a point to show you foods that other parts of Portugal are known for - pastries typical of the Azores, chorizo sausage from Alentejo. We also were introduced to how African and Indian cuisine influenced Portugal (piri piri sauce with samosas), and had some of the freshest-tasting octopus. We tried lots of Portugal's typical beverages too - from Superbock lager, to Vinho Verde ("green" wine) and a red from Alentejo, and ginjinha (sour cherry liqueur) - in other words, pre-gaming with a pre-tour drink or two is not necessary, but also not necessarily discouraged. You also get the sense that they take you to more local and "hidden-gem* restaurants. Shout out to Martim as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and facilitated everything with the restaurants. He was professional, friendly, and honest, and it was great getting to know him. It really felt like a personalized "eat with a local for an afternoon/evening" experience. Salud to him!

Lisbon food tour - Lorenzo was very knowledgeable about Lisbon, Portuguese history, and the how the food ties into the culture and history. Really good food - not overly filling if you don’t want it to be, but you can certainly leave full and satiated. Amazing samosas and pork sandwiches - my favorites.

Recommended! - Lourenço was fabulous! Very knowledgeable and fun to spend part of a day with! The tour includes food as well as a walking tour through multiple neighborhoods moving from place to place. You also start mostly up on a hill (easy to uber to) and walk down through the tour (if you’ve walked Lisbon, this is a huge plus). Recommend!
