Highlights
  • Parque Eduardo VII - We will start our tour in order to introduce the city and for a dazzling view of Lisbon.
  • Torre de Belem - Picture moment in one of the 7 wonders of Portugal!
This 16th-century UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site was once part of Lisbon’s extensive defense system, and the start and end point for Portuguese explorers.

The visit inside the Tower is not included, but our guide will join you there in order to resume you all the details about this wonderful monument.

  • Padrao dos Descobrimentos - A stylised caravel seems to be setting out to sea, with Henry the Navigator in its prow. On the two lateral ramps ascending to the symbolic figure of the Prince are some of the significant characters of the Portuguese overseas expansion and cultural names from the age of the Discoveries, 32 in total, all portrayed with symbols that allude to their identity: navigators, cartographers, warriors, colonisers, missionaries, chroniclers and artists. You can´t miss it!

We will visit the monument of discoveries from the outside, where we explore the compass rose with the sea paths followed by Portuguese navigators.

  • Mosteiro dos Jeronimos - On the banks of the Tagus is an apogee of Manueline architecture.

In the spot where the Jerónimos Monastery stands today, next to the old Belém beach, was originally a small hermitage dedicated to Santa Maria that had been built by the Infante D. Henrique, in 1452. At the start of the 16th century King Manuel I’s intention to have a large monastery erected there was acknowledged by the Holy See, and which was donated to the Order of the Friars of St. Jerome. The epitome of Manueline architecture and intrinsically linked to the Discoveries, this monastery is the most remarkable Portuguese monastic ensemble of its time and one of the main European churches.

The entrance for the the Monastery is not included. We will visit the Jerónimos Church. Free admission

  • São Vicente de Fora - A visit to São Vicente de Fora is a must during your stay in Lisbon. Besides having one of the most important churches in the city, the artworks inside are unique.
  • Panteão Nacional - The National Pantheon, housing the tombs of Portugal’s major historic celebrities, is located on the original site of the church of Santa Engrácia. Founded in the second half of the 16th century, the building was totally rebuilt at the end of the 17th century by the architect João Antunes. Even though it was never used as a place of worship, it still preserves, under its modern dome, a majestic nave with a polychrome marble decoration typical of the Portuguese Baroque architecture. Being an icon of Lisbon’s cityscape and having a privileged location, as it overlooks the city’s historic centre and the river Tagus, it is listed as a National Monument.
  • Alfama - Quick walking tour passing by one of the most famous neighborhoods of Lisbon: Alfama
Alfama is an old, gentle and humble fishing suburb in Lisbon. Located at the foot of São Jorge Castle, between the hill and the ocean, this neighbourhood holds the essence of the city. An area full of aromas and mixed emotions, where Fado was created in the 1820s. If you are not familiar with Fado, it’s the best-known genre of Portuguese music, very melancholic and often about the sea.
  • Bairro Alto - The Bairro Alto was born as a response to the social and economic transformation in Lisbon in the second half of the 15th century.[1] Commercial development caused the growth in the population, and an associated expansion of construction within the medieval walled city.[1] It was this phenomenon that resulted in the urbanization process of the Bairro Alto district, in two distinct phases.[1]
  • Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco) - One of Lisbon’s iconic squares that you must see. This famous square is ready to welcome you with various attractions and a nobility that is clear to see.
  • Arco do Triunfo - This triumphal arch in Rua Augusta has always impressed those roaming Lisbon’s busiest pedestrianised street.

But now you can visit the top of this unique structure for a truly singular and impressive view of Baixa and the river. It symbolises the rebirth of a new Lisbon after the tragedy of the earthquake, fire and tsunami in 1755 that razed what stood before.

  • Rossio Square - Rossio Square is the popular name of the Pedro IV Square (Portuguese: Praça de D. Pedro IV) in the city of Lisboa. It is located in the Pombaline Downtown of Lisbon and has been one of its main squares since the Middle Ages.
  • Church of Saint Dominic - Between Rossio and Praça da Figueira, discover one of Lisbon’s most emblematic churches which combines both beauty and a sinister past.
  • Parque das Nacoes - Imagine a site that offers some of the most daring examples of contemporary architecture, the Oceanarium, one of the largest in Europe, delightful thematic gardens, exhibition centres, shows and events. All located along a breathtaking 5 km stretch of the Tagus riverfront, in the heart of Lisbon, with easy access and parking, and benefiting from a wide array of shops, restaurants and bars.
