• Alfama - Alfama is the oldest neighborhood in Lisbon and the second oldest in Europe. dated back to the 8th century. Its winding and tiled streets resisted the great earthquake of 1755 and remain still today with the same layout as before.
• Castelo de S. Jorge - Saint Jorge Castle dates back to the 8th century, but the first fortification can be as early as 48 BC when Lisbon was a Roman Municipality. The hill where is located is one of the 7 hills of the city and by far the highest one.
• Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco) - The Praça do Comércio (Commerce Square) is one of the largest and had to be rebuilt after the great Lisbon earthquake in 1755.
