Highlights
  • Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco) - Comércio Square: This Square was the centerpiece of the reconstruction that took place after the earthquake of 1755 which has reduced Lisbon to rubble. In a privilege location, facing the river, this is the most popular square in Lisbon and one of the largest in Europe.
  • Alfama - In Alfama you’ll experience the real Lisbon, with its charismatic (and intense) people, cats sleeping on windowsills, twisting streets and blind alleyways where the roofs almost touch each other. Alfama is the oldest district in Lisbon and Portugal’s own musical genre – FADO – can be heard almost everywhere in this neighborhood.
  • Miradouro da Senhora do Monte - See Lisbon Downtown , Tgaus River from one of the highest hills of Lisbon.
  • Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria - After a moment to relax at the top of the viewpoint we’ll start going down the hill to salute Mouraria, Lisbon’s most multiethnic neighborhood. Here you may find all types of restaurants because about a fifth of the population is from Asia, mainly from China, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan.
  • Miradouro da Graca (Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen) - Going up the hill until Graça you’ll find breathtaking panoramic views at the famous belvedere “Senhora do Monte”.
  • Lisbon Cathedral - Lisbon’s Cathedral (Sé de Lisboa): Also known as the Church of Santa Maria Maior, this is one of the oldest monuments in the city, as it was built in the XII century. After several excavations in the Gothic cloister it was revealed archaeological remains dating back almost 3,000 years, from the Iron Age to the Middle Ages. A sacred place not to be missed.
  • Praca da Figueira - This square was once Lisbon’s main marketplace. It was home to a covered market, which was built in 1885 and demolished in the 1950s. In its place, a bronze equestrian statue of King João I was erected.

Excellent guide and tour - My wife and I both had a great time in this tour! Our guide Peter was very knowledgeable and obviously enjoys his work and showing us the beauty of Lisbon. I highly recommend this Segway tour and our guide Peter, who found us the best pateis de nata we had in Portugal, even in Belem!

August Lisbon Segway - We thought the tour was fantastic. Peter was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend it. The streets in Lisbon are very hilly and a Segway makes it much easier.

Fun way to see parts of Lisbon - Simone was great. He knew a lot about the history of Lisbon. This was my first time on a Segway and was a little nervous, but he was very patient and helped me through the narrower/more crowded areas. It was a fun way to easily see different parts of the city!

The Best Segway Ride We Have Ever Taken!! - My husband and I have been fortunate to have ridden Segways twenty different times in many different parts of the world. And, there are great guides everywhere - but, after our Alfama and Old Town Lisbon Segway ride today - I can confidently say that our guide Peter is supremely the best of the best. Passionate about all things Portugal, and so very knowledgeable about Portugal’s history and culture, he enthusiastically conveyed information about Portugal that helped us to better understand Portugal’s worldwide contributions, historically and in the present day. Peter’s positive nature and upbeat personality were a pleasure and we are grateful for his time, skill, and expertise. The Segway ride was a delight and it comes highly recommended. Two thumbs, way, way up!!

A fun adventure - Never been on a Segway but it was easy after the instructions from our guide. A great way to navigate round the narrow, hilly streets of Lisbon old town. Great value for money, good fun and a fabulous guide in Eduardo.

Great fun exploring Alfama - We toured Alfama with Eduardo, and it was a great experience. There was horrible rain that delayed our arrival in Lisbon, and the tour operator was able to reschedule. Then rain again at the new day and time and another rescheduling. Finally got to tour on the afternoon of our second day, and it was great. Eduardo is a charming and knowledgeable guide, who urged us to have fun, and we did! As others have said, this is less a food tour than others we have taken, but there was more than enough food to eat. It was just less about the food and more about the history of the neighborhood and details about the sights. Highly recommend, and consider yourself lucky if Eduardo is your guide!

Not the best Segway tour - I would not consider this a food tour. While we did stop for a couple items of food, I would consider this a sightseeing tour with some food a long the way. It was an ok time, but I've had better segway tours than this one. It seemed a little disorganized.
