A great tour! - Our tour guide, Bernardo, was fantastic. The tour was well paced and just enough information. The palace, the cliffs and the beach were all well worth a visit when in Lisbon.

Sintra - must see - Our guide was cool and knowledgeable. The castle is amazing. The tourist groups are properly managed to ensure a smooth flow of tourists through the castle. Be aware, it is a good hike up the hill to reach the castle.

Highly recommend - Wonderful experience! They are able to fit so much into the 8 hours. Sintra was incredible. Cado da roca had the most incredible views I’ve ever seen. Cascais was a beautiful town. The only criticism I have is I wish we spent more time there! Tour guides super knowledgeable

An excellent tour if you want to understand what you're seeing at Pena - This was a really great tour. Alberto was our guide and he was really helpful and engaging. We had just enough time in Cascais to grab a coffee before checking out Ronaldo's (partially finished) house. There was enough time to see the westernmost edge of continental Europe, and then we had lunch in Sintra. From there we went to Pena, and this is where this tour absolutely pays off. The palace contains very little information about what you're seeing. Without knowing the background Pena is easy to dismiss as kitsch as you breeze from room to room without context. But this is the key thing about this tour - in addition to navigating the entrance (you have to arrive at a specific time, it wasn't high season and it was still pretty busy), Alberto took us through each of the rooms in the palace and explained the background of what we were seeing. I later compared notes with other tourists who tried to visit Pena on their own, we had a much richer experience and a far better understanding of Portugal's last monarchs. It takes effort and planning to get to these places, to get the timed Pena gate pass, and get in. This tour saves you that trouble and provides more than you can get on your own. It was well worth it.

Great trip and a must do on a trip to Lisbon. - Carlos was a great host and made the trip very interesting and informative. He highlighted the most important things to see, but also had a great sense of humour.

Mostly fine, but not well organized. Unusual for Voiator. - Amazing castle - one of the biggest tourist attractions in Portugal, so a 'must see'. We had a wonderful guide, but some members of our group were French-Canadian, so he had to say everything twice, in two languages. Poor guy - toward the end of the day, his language skills were beginning to fail in both languages! We made the mistake of going to Sintra on a Saturday, so it was totally packed! Do yourself a favor - go midweek, especially in summer. Finally, for some reason we started in Cascais, but arrived at 9am and everything was still closed! There was no tour, no lecture about the area - we were just dropped off and told to return in an hour. Lovely views, but total waste of time.

Efficient and Comfortable Way to See Sintra and Cascais - Pros: -Small groups (Only 5 of us) -Good Itinerary (You see multiple places - Sintra, Cascais and other view points) -Well Organised -Comfortable Vehicles -You get to Sintra nice and early before the big crowds. Cons: Multiple tour-guides within same company - I noted that there was a big variation in the quality of the tour guides. Our specific tour guide was very quiet and didn’t share a lot of info about the places we visited. I ended up eavesdropping on other tours to get more information. Our tour guide was nice enough and respectful but perhaps was not very comfortable speaking English compared to the other tour guides.

Good itinerary but minimal commentary from guide - Overall it was good to visit the Pena Palace and Sintra. Both were absolutely beautiful and really wonderful to see in person. We had appropriate amounts of time at these stops. The stop at Cascais was probably about 45 minutes longer then it needed to be. I understand this is a beach and lunch stop but on this kind of tour no one is really jumping in the water so this stop probably doesn’t need to be this long. The itinerary otherwise for this trip was really good and well organised. Our disappointment with this trip is with the guide provided. Very little commentary was provided throughout our tour. He did take the tour at a good pace but it was very annoying to see so many other groups from the same tour company be provided with so much more commentary from their guides (as we saw this throughout the day). Our guide barely spoke. For the second half of the tour we barely heard anything from him. I’ll be honest, I’m all for a tour that does not have an information overload, but the knowledge provided and guidance on this tour was an absolute bare minimum. We paid for a private guided tour, and this was not it.
