Great tour, Alex was wonderful and has a great personality. We enjoyed spending the day with her. - Regaleria was our favorite however we loved all of them and the cute little town of Sintra. Alex was very kind to us as there was a lot of walking and we had to take some breaks, but she was extremely pleasant, and we had a great lunch with her

Wonderful day of sightseeing in Sintra - Rafael was a wonderful tour guide for our day of sightseeing in Sintra. He was flexible and friendly with us (and patient) when we confused our tour plan. Once we got ourselves back on track, we had a wonderful day, with lots of great historical information that Rafael provided. He also took us for an amazing lunch at a local spot and the food was excellent. He balanced the day with some natural wonders as well. Overall, I cannot recommend him more highly - book with Rafael and you will have a perfect day!

Awesome day in Sintra - We had am awesome day in Sintra with Rafael. We saw two official sites plus ate an amazing local meal, saw local villages, and visited the beautiful Atlantic coastline for gorgeous views. Rafael was very knowledgeable and accommodating. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

An Amazing Day with Rafael - Touring Sintra with Rafael was an absolute pleasure. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area. The day started with a walk up to the Moorish Castle. It was a peaceful morning in the area, so we were able to avoid a lot of the crowds to take in the views and learn about the grounds. After, we visited Pena Palace. A well timed entry and quick walk around the terrace allowed us to avoid long queues. Lunch at a local restaurant and a walk around Rafael’s home village gave us the off the beaten path experience we love in small European villages. We finished up with some off-roading and site seeing on the coast (including a visit to the windiest point in Portugal!) to close an amazing day of learning and good laughs.
I’d highly recommend touring with Rafael. There was never a dull moment in the day. He was naturally relatable, a great conversationist, and a pleasure to spend the day with!

Great day trip of Sintra - Rafael toured my wife and I around Sintra and the surrounding areas on a full day tour. Promptly picked us up at our hotel and we spent an enjoyable and informative day with him. Being born in Sintra he had great insights and navigated us around very efficiently. It was fun to see more than just the busy tourist sites and more of the local area and beauty.

Sintra & Coastal Cliffs - We had a great day on the Sintra Tour. Rafael was very knowledgeable on history of the area. We had multiple stops including Sintra National Palace, Seteais Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, and Pendel Village. We had an excellent lunch with his recommendations. Before delivering us back to our Lisbon Hotel we stopped at some great scenic overlooks Alvidrar, Fojo Cliffs and the Peninha Sanctuary. Highly recommend!

Excellent day in Sintra area with Rafael - Excellent day! Rafael started the day with beautiful walks around the castles in Sintra. We then had a fabulous lunch in his home town and then a fun ride to see the sea! Such wonderful views. We appreciated his knowledge of the history of the area and his easy communication style. Highly recommend.

Nice experience - Pena Palace is just beautiful. However, the niche system is constraining especially in bad weather and forces us to consume on site. Despite the kindness and helpfulness of the catering team we are very disappointed the dishes were really not good and expensive. We still liked the visit of this beautiful place.

Sintra- beautiful. Tour- meh. - Rafael was a knowledgeable guide and Sintra was beautiful. I do feel like our tour could have been more well organized and better use of our time made. Ordering individual lunch for a large group at a non English speaking restaurant was difficult and time consuming. Transportation was as economical as it gets- a manual transmission cargo van with seats. There were no air vents in the back- which led to a few of us feeling sick with traffic and shifting through traffic. I would suggest Rafael bring spare waters for guests. There are not places to stop and it is a long day. We had a few senior citizens that could have used more consideration. Overall I think perhaps we chose the cheapest tour in town- that’s how our service and accommodations felt.

Tour Guide Forgot About the Tour - The guide for this day trip ‘forgot’ about the tour and never showed up. This tour was supposed to be from 9:00-5:00. After speaking to a man in the Viator office, he confirmed the tour was canceled because the guide forgot about it. This left us to finding a different and more expensive tour company to take us for the day. Terrible! Viator claims I will get a refund but that doesn’t make up for the inconvenience caused.
