Must try! - Natalia was an incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining guide! It landed up just being the 2 of us for the tour and she took it in her stride! No compromise was made on the experience and I got to learn so much about Portugal and its history! The bonus was the yummy food and wine that we got to enjoy along the way :) Highly recommend!!

More than just the Tapas - Signed up for a last minute Tapas tour which ended up being one of our top experiences in Lisbon. João not only took us to some of the most authentic food spots in Bairro Alto, but also gave us history facts, cultural insights, and Lisbon recommendations. Highly recommend the tour all around, worth every euro.

Not the best tour - We enjoyed the restaurant that our guide brought us to, but the experience itself was a let down. You could spend your money better on your own

Not worth the money - This tour was truly not worth it. Our guide was very nice but the tour itself seemed to be a waste of $. We got to taste 3 tapas and 3 wines. Tapas were : garlic shrimp, cod taco and octopus salad with pastina . Desert was advertised but never provided. We left hungry after spending $65, which is more than most meals in Lisbon for much more food. This is not a reflection on the guide but the tour itself . It also advertised as a walking tour but we just walked from square where we met to the restaurant . We were also disappointed to not get to try traditional Portuguese foods like: pastel de nata, cod cakes or Ginjinha. Fortunately TimeOut Market was nearby where we ended up getting dinner cause we were still hungry.

not what was advertised - Guide was great but we did not go to 3 different places. We went to one restaurant and shared 3 different foods with other guests. .

Not as described. You're better off going to a restaurant on your own. - We were excited for this tapas tour based on the description on their website and by previous reviews on Tripadvisor. Unfortunately, the tour seems to have changed in the last little while even though the website hasn't updated the information. The "tour" is now at a single restaurant where neither the guide nor the restaurant staff provided any information on the dishes and the wine. It wasn't until we specifically asked the tour guide for a description that he decided to talk a bit about what was in front of us. It was incredibly underwhelming and we definitely regret joining this tour for 35 Euros. We also did a free walking tour with Discover Lisbon the day before which was also underwhelming. I don't think this tour company looks to improve their service and are simply cashing in on their offerings.

Avoid, just go out to dinner - Our guide Ricardo was lovely, but the experience was not. A reminder for what’s listed in the description - you go to ONE restaurant, so it is not a tour as you might assume. You get 3 pathetic tapas, and one took so long to come out that we left (after a party of 4 had already left 15 minutes before) because even if the sardine we were promised finally showed up, we were still going to be hungry. (Which does make sense - this is advertised as tapas, not a whole meal, and not enough tapas to constitute a meal - so our bad for not thinking that through.) Of the 2 tapas we stayed for, the codfish (a Portuguese staple that I was quite exited to try) was just a fried potato ball with an undetectable bit of fish inside; the “cooked at your table” chorizo was decent but literally just a few slices of chorizo; and the bread we received to eat with it was extremely stale. We met in Baixa-Chiado and walked 25 minutes to Alfama for the restaurant… why???? Why didn’t we just meet at the restaurant? Who knows. The tour guide didn’t even know because he didn’t plan it, he took over for someone else, so not great internal communication. It would have been nice to have some history/city info on our walk, but that didn’t happen. The restaurant we went to has very mediocre reviews. I’m sure it’s not easy to find a place that will host 15 people but maybe just make the experience capacity smaller and go to a nicer place. The food was sad. The wine was sad. The view was ok. If you wanted water, it counted as one of your 3 glasses of wine. We got a pastéis de nata before we started walking, so I guess I can check off dessert even though it happened first?? It was the best part of the night. The ginjinha that I paid extra for? Nowhere in sight. The fado that other reviews talk about? Nope, not here. Lotta false advertising. Avoid this “experience” whether you see it on Eventbrite or TripAdvisor or somewhere else. I paid ~$75 for 2 people to have 3 bites of food, a couple glasses of wine and some water - oh and delicious dessert but as our appetizer. If you get Ricardo on any of their other tours/experience, you will have a great time! But don’t waste your money on this.
