Fantastic tour with Joao Pedro as our guide - A all-day private tour like this is so much worth the cost if you are lucky enough to have an excellent tour guide like Joao Pedro. One important item to note is that we were never rushed or felt rushed to see something in a certain time period, we always had plenty of time to enjoy the area we were visiting. Although I had considered simply taking a train to visit Evora we would have made a very big mistake. Since Joao was/is also an agricultural engineer we learned all about the local farming in this part of Portugal as we drove to the various destinations along the way. We also have a change to stop and look at cork trees and learn how the cork is harvested and graded. In Evora it seemed like every 10 minutes someone would say hello to him as he went to school there and still has many friends in the area. Needless to say, we were very happy we had Joao as our guide again as we had also had him the day before on another tour. If you have Joao as a guide, be ready to learn and be entertained at the same time.

Fantastic experience - Joo explained so many things to us and took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch. We were able to experience the “ black pig”. The views were amazing and the history fascinating. It would be hard to find a better tour guide.

Awesome Tour and Great Guide - The Tour we did of Évora and Monsaraz from Lisbon, which in my opinion is highly recommendable, was quite exciting in terms of history and very beautiful sightseeing as well. Both villages deserve to be seen, on the other hand, we were very fortunate to get the tour from such a diligent and knowledgeable guide. Joao was very dedicated to providing us with a tour to remember. His English was perfect and his best quality, as a Tour guide, was the fact that he was extremely communicative, therefore, providing you with a lot of information by using also his excellent storyteller capabilities. We were delighted because of his extensive knowledge about the history of these places but mainly, very surprised about how much he knew regarding agronomy. It was a real pleasure to meet Joao and enjoy his friendly company. The trip from Lisbon to the village takes about 1 1/2 hour which was done in a comfortable SUV. Certainly, very old and well maintained beautiful Villages and a guide like behave as your best friend.

Unforgettable day trip to Evora and Monsaraz - Our tour guide João Pedro is a fantastic guide. In the past he had lived with in this area for many years and is very knowledgeable. João gave us a wonderful understanding of the history of Evora and Monsaraz. He took us to a beautiful restaurant for lunch cafe Alentejo and we highly recommend the food. João explained the importance of cork to the region and showed as almond and cork tree. We had a fantastic time and we highly recommend this tour.

Beautiful historic countryside experience for family - I highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Lisbon. António is so friendly and knowledgeable about the entire area. The drive is a little long from Lisbon (we brought a deck of cards and our three kids were able to entertain themselves) but António gave us an excellent overview of the history of the countryside surrounding Lisbon and Évora. The cities we visited were very impressive. My two younger ones (ages 10 and 7) thought the Chapel of Bones was too spooky but my 13 year old thought it was very cool. The communication from Jump in Tours was excellent - they confirmed our pickup location ahead of time, and easily accommodated some last minute changes we had to make because of the local workers strike.
