Small group, very knowledgeable tour guide Juno! - My wife and I had the pleasure of going on a tour with Juno, and it was an outstanding experience. Juno did a fantastic job guiding our small group of five, offering a wealth of knowledge about Evora, and sharing interesting insights about the history and Cocks oak trees throughout the entire trip. The tour was well-organized, and we never felt rushed or lost. Juno’s attention to detail and thoughtful approach made the experience both informative and enjoyable. I highly recommend Juno as a guide – his passion and professionalism truly enhanced the whole journey!

Worth exploring! - Our guide Diogo - Tony - was very informative and added to the whole experience. We covered a lot of ground and saw many sites outside of Lisbon including interesting landmarks, the standing stones, cork trees, the market at Evora, church of bones, and a cork factory. I was pleasantly surprised by the added knowledge of the wildlife. Just an overall fun time for us as a group of strangers. I would highly recommend this tour!

Lots of Ancient History together with an understanding of the harvesting of cork & its uses! - What an awesome day trip. The cork trees were incredible. Had no idea that cork had so many used!! Then we visited the dolmens of Almendres. Incredible that the stones are older than Stonehenge! Then onto Evora. To view Roman ruins is incredible. Part of the temple is still standing! Then into the Chapel of Bones. Bit macabre! A full day trip!! Joao our guide was fantastic! His English was excellent. Highly recommended

If you are considering this tour - Just do it ! - Small group. Beautiful, Mediterranean-like countryside. Monoliths were unspoiled by commercialization, and very few tourists (some goats, though). We went on November 1st (a significant date in Portuguese history). Our guide (Gil) was fantastic and made the trip highly memorable : ) Recommend!

Historical Gem - This trip was amazing. I learned so much from our guide who was extremely knowledgeable. Philip was kind and such a pleasure to meet. The group of 8 were strangers but Philip made it easy to connect. I would definitely recommend this tour. You will not be disappointed with Philip as your tour guide.

Bones, stones and a rainbow - A fantastic day with tons of history if the Alentejo region, cork forests, Neolithic stones, cathedrals, lunch. The day was 1 Nov, so it was a perfect day to visit the chapel of the bones in Evora. Our guide Gil was very knowledgeable about the area and thousands of years of history. And a bonus rainbow from Monte Evora!

A must excursion while in Lisbon - We traveled to Évora with Nuno. He took us on a walking tour of the megaliths before exploring the Evora sites of the Roman ruins and the sobering Chapel of Bones. Nuno is very knowledgeable regarding the area. It was a great day away from Lisbon and I highly recommend it.

Interesting (and wet) tour of Alentejo - This was a very interesting tour to a part of Portugal that we would not have been able to see otherwise. We enjoyed learning about the megaliths and seeing a cork grove. The town of Évora was interesting, and the Chapel of Bones was...suitably morbid. We appreciated the small group size—there were seven of us. Our guide, Felipe, was very knowledgeable and extremely patient with all of our questions. He was also a very safe driver, considering the outrageous amount of rain that was falling for most of the day. We would have appreciated a bit more historical context in a couple of places, but maybe that was cut short because the rain was so heavy it was difficult to hear. At any rate, even though we were soaked through despite our umbrellas by the end of the tour, we were glad to have been able to go.

Rain, sun, and fun - I thought it was cool that our guide had family heritage from Evora. A highlight was learning about Megaliths. Ate local food and met some awesome people on the tour. A must do on your list.
