  • Doolin - Stop for Lunch

As a designated Geopark Geosite, the pier attracts geologists due to the surrounding limestone, which is among the youngest in the Burren and rich with fossils. On a freshly broken rock surface, you’ll see sparkles as light reflects off the calcite crystals that form the stalks of these sea creatures.

Doolin Cave, or Pól an Ionáin, features the Great Stalactite, the largest free-hanging stalactite in Europe and the third largest in the world. Step back over 350 million years on a fully guided tour 200 feet beneath the karst Burren landscape. Afterward, explore above ground, meet friendly farm animals on the nature trail, and learn about the unique Burren flora.

Doolin is near many of the Burren’s top tourist attractions, including Fanore Blue Flag Beach, the spa town of Lisdoonvarna, the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience, the seaside resort of Lahinch, and numerous national monuments of the Burren.

The Cliffs of Moher and so much MORE! - Jerry was the absolute best! He gave us the most personalized experience and we loved every minute. He picked us up at our hotel and gave us time to get some snacks for our road trip. Jerry was so pleasant with friendly conversation and stopped along the way not only to use the restrooms but to see some side sights. When we got to the cliffs, he told us where to go for the best pictures. After the cliffs we told him we were hungry and instead of waiting to go to Galway he let us stop in Doolin and we had a bite to eat which was perfect! On our way back he stopped at the most charming chocolate shop. It was absolutely lovely. The shop was so cute, and the chocolate was amazing. It was also attached to a coffee and sandwich shop. We also stopped at other places to take pictures and take in all the wonderful sites. Jerry is top notch and gave us a luxury, VIP experience. Thank you Jerry!

The best way to visit Moher and Galway! - This trip was outstanding: from the excellent car and driving to Gerry’s attentive yet easy going vibe the trip was fully customized and a 7star experience. Besides the Cliffs of Moher and Galway we stopped at the Burren Perfumery which houses the most charming Tea Shop with an organic local produce based menu to outshine the best cafes I’ve eaten at. The perfumery surprised me with a collection of magical fragrances and healing creams. Having a private car and going at your own pace is the way to do this route. Double thumbs up!

The best 2 days in Ireland - We had a great trip with Gerry! He was knowledgeable, fun and timely. We wouldn’t use anyone else when we come back! Gerry went above and beyond to make sure we were always comfortable and having fun! He did a great job of taking photos of/for us without us even asking. He sent us lots of very informative links about the places we were visiting them so we could learn the history before we arrived! It was 2 of our favorite days ever and a lot of that has to do with Gerry.

Private Tour of Cliffs of Moher and Galway with Gerry Murphy - We had a wonderful time! Gerry Murphy was our tour guide and was great from start to finish. His beautiful luxury Mercedes was comfy and clean equipped with water and chocolates. He was on time, maneuvering around a crash in the tunnel, and still being on time. We had a lovely time at The Cliffs of Moher, weather cooperated, sun was shining. Quite the sight to behold. We then went to the Burren to a perfumery. Was so interesting and they also had a cute little cafe with lots of delicious goodies. Wonderful choices of perfumes. The Burren is very interesting, felt like being in Arizona. Next was Galway, a vibrant colourful city. Then back to Fair Dublin. Don't miss this tour!! And ask for Gerry Murphy, you won't be disappointed!!

Solo Lady Traveler-highly recommend! - As a woman solo traveler, I can't say enough about how remarkable Gerry's services are. He is funny, kind, trusting, and made sure my memory bank was full! He literally helped to make my dreams come true in Ireland. His Mercedes is clean and comfortable! In addition to our marvelous itinerary, He went out of his way to show me Doonagore's Castle and the Corcomroe Abbey. He really pays attention to what you'd be interested in and makes it happen with class and luxury. I can't wait to book with him again! Highly recommend. Thank you Gerry!

Memorable experience! - We booked Gerry for the day tour to Cliff of Moher. Gerry was incredibly accommodating from the start - he was open to our last minute change to our pickup location. He was friendly, respectful, funny, engaging and most importantly very attentive and accommodating of our requests. We felt so comfortable with him that we decided to book him for an additional two days. He asked what we would like to do and prepared a two day tour where we would visit the Dingle Peninsula, Ring of Kerry, Killarney, and the Ross, Blarney and Kilkenny Castles and so much more along the way. He recommended excellent places to eat and even helped us to book the Celtic Steps show at Killarney. Also a great photographer, taking some great pictures of our family during the trip! Gerry's knowledge made it possible to cover a lot during those 3 days without feeling rushed. We visited the sites at our own pace and he kept us on track to make sure we would cover everything we wanted to see. We felt that we were doing the tour with a friend. We highly recommend him for your Ireland trips, we will recommend him to any friend visiting Ireland in the future. Thank you Gerry for an unforgettable experience!

Couples Cliffs of Moher tour from Dublin - Highly recommend. This is a fine private and custom tour in a luxury auto with plenty of room and comfort with no stress. It is a long day as advertised and Gerry went out of his way to insure we saw attractions along the journey. There was zero pressure on timing. Gerry made spot on suggestions on stops through the day including off the beaten path perfumery, great restaurant in Galway and a stop at Sean’s Bar on the way back to Dublin. Gerry handled getting tickets for entry to the Cliffs of Moher. His only instruction while there was to enjoy and take all the time we desired to soak it all up. The cliffs viewing was great and the focal point of the tour though Gerry provided so much more.
