Fantastic service - We booked this service twice while we were in Galway. The complaint I have is on the Viator end. I booked 3 months in advance of our trip, and had used my husband's credit card. You get automated messages feom Viator letting you know when the card will be charged, and you dont need to do anything else. I had forgotten that we had a fraud alert on my husband's card two weeks prior and had a new card shipped. So, when Viator went to run payment, yhe card was obviously declined. NO WORD from Viator notifying me the card was declined. They simply canceled the booking with no notice. The night before our firat booking, we contacted John King to confirm pick up times. That is when we discovered the cancellation. Mr King was wonderful! We paid him directly, and he was able to book Paul, one of his part time drivers. Paul was WONDERFUL! He made a suggestion to stop at a sheep farm on ourway to the Abbey, and made sure our family was able to shear a sheep, and all of us were able to feed the lambs as well. It was a fun opportunity for our city kids(ages 13-27). He gave us so much history of the area, told us of the famine walls. And he played his concertina for us as well! We had a great experience at Kylemore Abbey. The next tour was to the Cliffs. Again, great experience! Aidan was not as talkative as Paul, but again, gave us extra information, suggested two perfect stops along our route to see the sights, and get a family photo at the Burren. I highly recommend this company! When we go back, I will use them again. **Just keep your eyes on your bookings. Log in and make sure Viator hasn't canceled your reservation. They will not tell you.

Excellent tour! - We were traveling through Ireland as a family for 10 days and this was by far the best excursion we had! We had a few places on our list to visit but our tour guide had excellent suggestions for us that we didn’t know existed such as walking through a well preserved ruined monastery. He was an archaeologist so he had a wealth of information and history of all of Ireland (and a great sense of humor!). I highly recommend this mini bus service to see the most and best that the area has to offer in a day with a lot of historical knowledge along the way.

Great for a family wanting a private tour! - This was a wonderful option for our family Ireland vacation. We were a large group, so having a van that could accommodate us all really added. A nod to Tom, our guide, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the countryside and about Irish history as well, which we really wanted. Transportation was timely and courteous. Would highly recommend.

Best Tour of our Lives! - I cannot give enough stars for our experience! Tom, our guide and driver, was our favorite part of our trip to Ireland! He was so knowledable and kind and hilarious …..We spent two days together touring The Burren and Conemara regions and learned so much history and saw so many beautiful things that we never would have seen without him! Worth every penny…. I wish we had had more time!

Amazing Tour - We had the best day touring with John King Bus hire our driver Tom was so knowledgeable and friendly and made the full day tour fly by we didn't want it to end! We saw some of Irelands most beautiful sites and learned so much history because of Toms knowledge of the country! 10/10 would highly recommend!

Awesome tour and service - One of the best tours we had in Ireland. We knew we wanted to see the Cliffs of Moher but we were up for anything. Our tour guide took us off the beaten path to some really unique and beautiful places. Definitely recommend.

Group Transportation and Sightseeing - Our group of 9 came to Ireland for a wedding and did some traveling around. We hired a driver and minibus to transport us plus our luggage from one place to the next and allowed us to customize the route and stops along the way. It worked out great. The bus was comfortable and clean and the driver was very nice. I would recommend this company as they were responsive and reliable. I would use them again in the future.

Wonderful Connemara day trip from Galway! - We used John King Bus Hire for a Connemara day trip, including visits to Cong Village and Kylemore Abbey. Tom was our tour guide and our entire group loved him! He went out of his way to make the day informative and fun for all of us. Our group consisted of 4 adults (including one senior) and 5 kids (ages ranging from 2 to 12). Tom understood the challenges of traveling with young children and was so great with them! Although it was raining, he made sure we had a wonderful day. We appreciated hearing about the history and culture of Ireland as we drove and also at each stop. Tom was a personable and informative tour guide. We highly recommend his services!

Interesting and memorable trip with dedicated driver - Many thanks for a very pleasant trip where we had an opportunity to influence where and how we would stop on the road. Many thanks also for all the historical stops that we were told about the place with great empathy. We also had three children with us and the service of having child seats included along with the flexibility that children sometimes require made our trip memorable. Many thanks to our driver that day!

Flexible bus for your whole clan! - It was wonderful to be able to rent a minibus, as there was 10 of us. The driver Paul was so nice, and let us set the agenda for the day. We do wish that there was a little more facts or information shared on the trip, but this was what worked best for my family.
