Lismore, a quaint town with a view that takes your breath away, is a hidden gem that I couldn’t resist exploring. As I drove into town, the sight of the majestic Lismore Castle set the tone for an adventure that was about to unfold. The escape room, nestled within the Lismore Heritage Centre, promised an experience that was both enchanting and challenging. The theme was inspired by the magical world of Hogwarts, and as a fan of all things mystical, I was ready to be spellbound.

A Spellbinding Challenge

Stepping into the escape room was like entering another world. The attention to detail was impeccable, with every corner of the room echoing the charm of Hogwarts. The challenge was to break free from the enchanted chambers using the unlocking spell, Alohomora. It was a race against time, and the adrenaline rush was palpable.

The clues were cleverly crafted, each one more intricate than the last. As I pieced together the puzzles, I couldn’t help but admire the creativity behind the design. Beyond the Escape

After the escape room, the adventure continued with a delightful VR experience that added a modern twist to the historical setting. The day wouldn’t be complete without indulging in some local flavors. A short drive took me to Barrons Bakery in Cappoquin, where I savored some of the best toasties I’ve ever had. The warm, inviting atmosphere of the bakery was the perfect complement to the day’s excitement.

To round off the day, a visit to Mount Melleray Monastery offered a serene contrast to the earlier thrills. The stunning stained glass windows and the chance encounter with a monk added a touch of tranquility to the adventure. Lismore, with its blend of history, culture, and modern-day fun, proved to be a destination that captured my heart.
