A must for any visit to Liverpool! - Really enjoyable ferry trip. Saw sights of Liverpool from a different perspective. Excellent commentary from Viv on the bus with some great comedy and anecdotes. Great way to see the main sights of Liverpool and travel between them. Thanks to Wayne for negotiating the route at an easy pace to catch the sights.

Bus Tour and Ferry trip - Both the bus tour and the ferry trip were well worth it. The bus crew Viv and Steve C were knowledgeable with a sense of humour thrown in

Trains and boats and open top busses - A short train trip from where I was staying took me to the impressive offices of the Mersey Ferry Company by the Liverpool Building and Beatles statue. I easily exchanged my voucher for bus and ferry tickets, and as I had just missed a ferry, they run on the hour, I had a short wait for the open top bus. The bus which leaves from outside the ferry offices, was quite full, but I managed to get a nice seat at the front. The trip around the inner city was very interesting and our guide was very informative with a story or joke for every occasion. The trip took about 40 minutes, and returned us to the ferry offices. I queued for the ferry which wasn't long in coming, and boarding was easy, I managed to get a nice seat on the upper deck. The ferry itself was very tired and quite noisy, and it was quite disappointing not to be either to hear the pre recorded commentary at times, as it was either too quiet or the engine noise drowned it out! I understand a new ferry is being built but this will not be commissioned soon. It would have been nice to have a live commentary to pick up on things like the new Everton Stadium, and the labour party conference which was being prepared. It was nice on the River which did make up for some of the shortcomings, and there were good photo opportunities, so not all bad!

The ferry was not operating the day we booked. - We had booked this tour with ferry and bus but when we arrived at the ferry, we were told that the ferry would not be operating that day and that we would need to come back the following day. We had already planned other activities for the next day and therefore could not take the ferry. We have paid for this and were unable to use it. I hope to at least receive a refund of half of what I paid since the bus tour alone is cheaper. I have a photo as evidence that taking the ferry was not possible on the day we had booked. (The bus tour was nice)
