Well worth the effort - Great views of a great city - Being a scouser, this part of Liverpool has special memories for me, as my earliest memories are seeing my dad sail from the floating landing stage on the Cunard liners. I didn't know about the tour but noticed people when I looked up at the Liver Building whilst visiting the 3 Graces. Went on the tour and was not disappointed. The "safety" briefing made it sound harder than it was, as lift to 10th floor and then about 135 steps up to the top. A history lesson about the building and the clocks an 2 levels of amazing views. Our guide Ellen was really good and very knowledgeable. In all about an hour and 15 minutes. Great View of the city, and the new Everton stadium, and the Grand old lady, plus some other ground in the distance :-)

A bird's eye view - 2.00 pm pre-booked visit on an overcast Monday afternoon – we arrived in good time and were able to take in the information boards before the start of the tour Guide took us up by lift to first level – which gave is views over the city – and then it was up to the inside of the one of the clock towers for a short video – after that is was a steep climb to the final level where were rewarded with far reaching views over the city taking in the 2 cathedrals – in the far distance Anfield – the home of football – to Bramley Dock and beyond – Albert Dock and Cammell Laird and beyond that the Dee Estuary – across to Birkenhead and the Wirral – and on a clear the Welsh Mountains – impressive If you like seeing cities from above then this is the tour for you but the Liver Building offers more being the first skyscraper in the country – it was built with the same steel structure as its American cousins but not as tall – go for it and enjoy – thank you
