Secrets of Pisa - Antonio picked us up at the cruise terminal with a black Mercedes van. He is animated and genuinely excited about us being there. He is originally from Pisa and promises to tell us the city's secrets. He begins by telling us about the city's long and complicated history. These Italian cities were built upon the Roman cities and have been around for hundreds of years!
He shows us the city walls and explains how the city grew outside the walls after the Romans had conquered the know world. He introduced us to the river Aron and explained its importance to both Pisa and Florence. He dropped us off just outside of the leaning tower of Pisa, which was built to lean, on purpose. The leaning tower of Pisa is the bell tower to the Pisa cathedral and Pisian baptistry. Antonio grew up near this cathedral and had been baptized in the baptistery.
We purchased tickets ahead of time and strolled around the grounds until our appointed time to enter the bell tower. The winding stone staircase is very narrow and you are not allowed to bring in any additional bags or purses. There are lockers available for a small fee to store your items. The schedule is very strict and you must enter the tower at your scheduled time or you will not be admitted.
Ascending the stairs in the tower was a vertigo experience for me. As you step up, the tower gently leans at different angles as you ascend the circular staircase. The narrow staircase is wide enough for two people, shoulder to shoulder.
After Pisa, Antonio shared a Pisa secret, there is another leaning tower in Pisa. The bell tower of San Michele degli Scalzi. It is located along a quiet parkway in town. We also stopped to see Michelangelo's famous David. We purchased these tickets online ahead of time as well. These also have a time of entry for the museum.
After Pisa, we drove to Florence. Antonio took us up to a lovely overlook over the city and explained the importance of the various bridges and Medici castles. He brought us to the leather market, the gold market and many roads of shops. This is a fun city to shop, both touristy shops and high end fashion shops.

The best 2 tours on our 10 day cruise!! - One of the best days on our 10 day cruise! Maria Clara knew all of the best spots to take us and customized our day based off of our preferences. She gave us a great information and tips along the way. I would highly recommend Rom in Limo private tours to everyone. We took two and they were the best days we had!!!

Great times with Raffaele! - We had Raffaele as our driver/guide and he was super fun, informative, and easy going. He was also very patient and kind to our young children and elderly parents and helped take many of our family photos. He took us to Florence and brought us to a great spot in the hills that gave us a beautiful view of the city and gave us free time to explore the town and famous bridge. He also arranged our lunch at a local restaurant there as well as figured out how to best work with our pre-paid (timed) tickets to the Accademia museum (to see the David). On the way to Pisa, he took us a to an excellent gelato place. He also helped explain the different sights in Pisa to help us decide what was worth visiting on our limited schedule and accompanied us to get the proper tickets. Most importantly, he got us back in plenty of time for our ship departure. We really enjoyed having him as a guide! Highly recommend!

One day in Florence/Pisa at a much more relaxing pace - What a great experience. Our driver met us at the port and we had a lovely drive to and from Florence/Pisa. Our driver made a point of alerting us to scenery/historical items on the drive, and he took many pictures of the family for us. I wish I could remember our driver's name because he helped make our day so special.
We arrived in one of the many cruise ships. All day long we were seeing so many people in hot crowds being put on and off buses. I'm so glad we had this option as it made for a much more pleasant day for our family.

Wonderful informative and fun tours and transportation. - We used RomeInLimo for several excursions on our recent cruise. Jany was so easy to work with as we made plans and was extremely flexible when we had to cancel our cruise for 2022 and re-book for 2033. We used RomeInLimo for transportation from the ship to our hotel and then from the hotel to the airport. Drivers were on time and professional and got us where we needed to be. We split our group up on the Port of Livorno day. Half of us spent a half day in Pisa. Our driver was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the city. He dropped us off in a few spots so we could explore on our own and picked us up promptly when we were ready. The other group went to Florence and Pisa and had an incredible time seeing the cities. We also booked a tour of Pompeii and Naples. We’d highly recommend adding on the private guide for Pompeii. Our guide taught us so much and we saw many things we would have missed out on without her. Overall this is an excellent company and we will definitely work with them again the next time we are in Italy!

10/10 Experience - Booked this shore excursion from our cruise ship. I would highly recommend! Our driver, Alberto, was amazing! He arrived on time and it was very nice to ride in a luxurious car. He was vey knowledgable and gave us great history about the region and sites. There was a traffic jam on the main highway and he navigated us around it using the back roads to save us time. It was great to see the Tuscan countryside. Once in Pisa and Florence, he provided great tips of where to eat and places to see. It was nice to have our own transportation and be able to get away from the crowds or large tours. He would drop us off at a convenient place and give us great directions on how to walk to places. This was definitely the best way to see Pisa and Florence. If I am ever back in Italy, I will use the same car service.

10/10 excellent experience - Our family recently did a shore excursion to Pisa and Florence with Rome in Limo. Our driver, Marcella, was kind and helpful as well as informative. In Florence, our guide Rafaela was SPECTACULAR! I wish we had more time in Florence to spend with her. She was especially wonderful with our three girls ages 5,7,10. She gave us the perfect kid oriented walking tour of the highlights of Florence. I would go to Florence again just to visit her!

Don’t Book with this company. - We were very disappointed in this booking. I was expecting a private custom tour but what we got was a VERY expensive black car driver. We were on a 2 week trip to 10 cities and I booked private tours in every city via Viator and this is the only one that was not anything like I expected, disappointing and was way overpriced.

Beware - The description is not clear and maybe a little deceptive. The service is only for a driver to and from Pisa/Florence. Although the driver was great, we thought we were getting a true guide to show and explain the great city of Florence and were disappointed that were just dropped off told to meet again in a few hours. The service description title needs to be cleaned up to avoid any future misunderstandings.
