The ticket is worth it to see more of the castle - It was an easy way to ensure entrance into the castle. Just remember to go to the box office before you enter to translate it into a scannable ticket!

Castle visit - Very interesting castle. We took the audio guide. If you bring a little bit more time you can explore very much in the castle

A great way to see the castle - The movie was great. The museum of puppetry was great for all ages. View from the tower was fantastic as well. Definitely worth it if you can walk up for about 15-20 minutes because the funicular ticket is not included. The ticket says audio guide but it’s misleading. It costs extra to get the audio guide

To do if you are in good physical shape - Visit where we are a little lost, to know where the audio guide stations are, the direction of the visit, we are constantly going up and down the steps..On the other hand plenty of explanations in French in the museum on the history of Slovenia, the visit to the "virtual castle" (3 D) subtitled in French, magnificent view, beautiful remains... Ref, it's well worth the 12€, 16 with the audio guide

A view of Ljubljana from above - We took the City Tour to the castle and visited it. All in all, a nice trip with the City Tour, easy and convenient to reach

No historical value - I would not recommend this castle as it does not have historical value hence people looking for true castle experience with window to history would be disappointed. The castle serves as cultural centre with photo exhibitions and copies of actual art hanging on the wall.

Not happy, would not recommend - It was not at all worth the money and time. The castle has been renewed completely, which causes all the historic value to be removed. We expected to see a lot about what life in the castle was like back then, instead all we got to see was a modern art museum inside a modern renewed castle.

Not worth the visit. Loud drilling and building work ruins the visit. - There is not much to see in the castle. In fact, it is a modern renovated building in castle shape. On the day of my visit, there was building work happening. There was extremely loud drilling near the souvenir shop. It was deafening. I could not enjoy the visit. Inside the castle, there was a lack of benches to sit. Forcing visitors to use their restaurant and cafe perhaps which had shaded seating. No picnic areas. The toilets near the entrance did not have functioning turnstile entry. People needing the toilets had to climb over the turnstile to use it. The Handicap and baby chandler cubicle in the main square was locked. All in all, the castle really was not worth visiting. Also, my family Did the escape room tour, it was not an escape room at all. More of a scavenger hunt throughout the castle. Mis selling the escape room experience.
