Great Food, Even Better Guide - This tour was one of the most fun days that we had in Slovenia! Alenka was our guide, and her energy just cannot be matched. Every aspect of the tour was personalized by her, including a special stop for the best views of the Slovenian coastline. The day started with a pick-up at our hotel, and Alenka gave us so much information about the culture of Slovenia during the drive to Piran. We had two food stops included in the price we paid: one seafood-based, and one meat-based. Both were fantastic and provided A LOT of food. But, let's be honest, Alenka was really the star of the show here. She called ahead to one of the restaurants and had the owner's son hold us the last open table. She sang us a full rendition of a song from her favorite Slovenian movie in a public square. She even invited us to come to her mom's house, though sadly, our schedule did not allow us to take her up on this offer. Absolutely worth the trip!
